We are going the second week of December and i was wondering how long of a wait Beaches and Cream has around 4 PM. I'm hoping not horrible since its in between meals.

I wouldn't expect a terribly long wait. We went at about 5:30 and waited 30 minutes. We were given a 45 minute wait. 4:00 I wouldn't expect it to be too bad.

Does anyone have any idea how long the wait is at night (ex. about 30 minutes after fantasmic or illuminations?)

Good question! Who wouldn't want to go for ice cream after those events? Unless it's a cold night...

There is really no exact weight time that anyone can give for B&C. We have gone different times/days, also the same times/days as before and have had varying weight times.

We have found that if you are willing to take a counter seat on a stool you can get in faster. But, again, there is really no way to tell.

Most of the time I've gone around 4pm it's been about 30 minutes. Some a little less, some a little more, but that's been our average. That was weekdays around 4pm, in December. But it can vary widely depending on the weather, size of the parties inside or parties waiting to get in, etc. Just have a backup plan in mind in case the wait is longer than you care to hang around.

I have heard that the wait from Illuminations and later can be very long, so I've never even tried at that time. The best time to go is right when they open.

At 4 pm with a small party, you can probably be seated quickly if you are wiling to sit at the counter.

The place is tiny and starts to get slammed around 5:30 and honestly stays that way until 10:30 or so. Of course, time of year, weather and other factors can also influence traffic patterns there.

I'm glad you asked this question! I leave next week and Beaches and Cream is on my list of "must try's" for this trip. We have an ADR at Chefs de France for 5:30pm and plan on hopping over there for dessert!

We were staying at BC 2 weeks ago & actually were turned away from beaches & cream at 7pm as they were too busy for dinner & told us to go to hurricane Hanna's & it was horrible. We did manage a hot fudge sundae on our last day but really had wanted dinner there.

We arrived at Beaches and Cream at 2:00 for late lunch at the end of September. We would have had to wait 15 minutes for a table or immediate seating at the counter. We chose counter and glad we did. We watched all those yummy sundaes being made while we ate (including the kitchen sink!!)

If they are busy and you don't mind the counter, let them know you would take a table or sit at the counter. Last time we were there, we sat at the counter and it was fine. All tables were filled and people were waiting. We got seated at the counter very quickly.:)

Nope - wouldn't even let us in the door. Said no more dinner orders were being taken for the evening. Only ice cream & I really needed solid food....

It can also vary based on the brains of the hostess. We went once and waited forever because she was an idiot. (We needed a table for 6. So if table for two finished and table for 4 right next to it was paying the bill at most places they just hold the two top. Nope, she seated folks, then the 4 top opens she seats a family of two there LOL! There was a certain "randomness" to her selection. One couple near us waiting realized that two couples who came after them got seated, they asked and she said "oh sorry I just skipped over that section of the list" We finally asked to see a manager who saw what she was doing and took over the seating. The backlog was quickly cleared because he had a clue on how to use his tables. HIs first question to her was "why have you marked off the bottom of your list before the top was seated"? LOL! Apparently she had started working the most recent guests first. )

This is actually not the first I've heard of this. I didn't know B&C would be slowly turning into ADR. Could you take out food to go? Or was it just a blanket no food except ice cream?

This varies too, but after Illuminations is the busiest time to go and when B&C sees the longest waits. If you are staying at YC/BC or BWI and can hang out and wait for the crowd to die down then it would be worth it. Otherwise, I think it would be a waste of time.

It was a blanket NO FOOD, ice cream only. It was 2 hours before illuminations so that shouldn't have made a difference. The food an Hurricane Hanna's was ice cold & all I had was a grilled cheese & fries. DH's hamburger was gross. But we've decided overall BC is not for us, so unless we go to Cape May for a dinner ADR in the future we won't be over that direction again.
