I suppose the best place to start my trip report would be to introduce the cast of characters. First up would be my lovely DW Silvia.
She is an elementary music teacher in an urban setting. She has made many more trips than me to Disney world since she was little due to family trips every other summer to visit more family in FL. By the way she is Italian so there is a LOT of family.
Guess before I go any further I should also introduce myself. My name is Jason and I am a computer field tech for a drug store chain.
I am also a musician. Previous to this trip I had only been 2 times, once when I was about 10 with my grandparents many moons ago, and once last year with my wife on our honeymoon. Although I am not experienced I have tried to make up for it by reading all the great information found here on the DIS boards. Thanks to you guys I came up with so many new things to do and enjoy that my wife had never done before.
Also appearing in this trip report will be my DMIL and DFIL who were able to join us for a couple of days.
When they first met me they weren’t so keen on me
but now through my techie abilities cooking abilities and the good times I showed them at Disney I am firmly in their good graces. 
Others may make appearances but those are the important ones for now.
This trip came about mostly through luck. While we had a wonderful 10 day honeymoon last year thanks to my grandmother’s generous gift
, we figured it would be a few years before we got to go back. That was when last October we received a wedding invite. DW’s cousin who lives in FL was getting married. Even better her wedding day was the day before our 1 year anniversary. We figured it was fate and if we were going to be in FL for our anniversary we might as well be in Disney world
. We started planning right away. Not for the wedding but for our trip! We stayed at POP the previous year and really liked it so we decided we would stay there again. We mentioned to some of Silvia’s large family, I mentioned they were Italian right, That we were going to spend a few days at Disney and wanted to see if anyone else wanted to go and we could co-ordinate something. Well as it turned out the in-laws thought it would be great to go as a family, for a couple of days anyway. We were originally planning to stay for 3 days after the wedding in Largo to spend time with the family but it seemed like most weren’t staying for any length of time. While we were deciding what to do the 4/3 deal was extended and lo and behold our dates were included
. We planned a 3 day trip but if we pay for just one more day we can have a week. Of course we jumped at the chance! But to make it work with my vacation time we had to leave Largo the day after the wedding. While the family was sad to say good bye after the wedding , we were excited to start our anniversary trip!
