thru the years I have used a waist bag but I wanna a new one or something simple to carry, either on my back{not big and bulky}or around my waist..what do you carry as a mom around the parks????
By the way after trying on those crocs and hating them I bought a pair of sneakers from lands end for 19.99 on the website and they can get wet!!!very comfortable ...

Wall mart has a interesting "belly Bag" for around 7 or 8 dollars. It has 3 zipper compartments and is a surprise when it comes to quality, it is black.

I use a bag made by "Travelon", I ordered from QVC. It's about the same size as a fanny pack bag, but it has a strap that goes over the shoulder , across the body. I love it!! It has pockets inside for sunglasses etc. A cell phone pocket on the outside, and a nice zipper on the back side, which is againist your body when wearing the bag. I use this area for my wallet. The bag comes in different sizes , colors and materials. Easy to wipe off is something spills on it as well. But most importantly is I was able to have everything i needed with me and still be hands free.

How big is the inside compartment? I found this online and it looks good, but I need to carry a camera and a small camcorder. Also do you use it mostly as a waist pack or with the shoulder strap?
Thanks!
Kimba

I saw that bag on QVC the other morning. Do you really like it ? Can you squeeze a couple of pull ups and some wipes in it. I would love not to have to take a bag in the parks or anywhere for that matter.

The one I have is item # F9809 on QVC website, they do make another one a bit larger as well which may work better for holding pull ups and wipes, it is item #F8399. The one I have would probably hold them and a travel size wipes, but I think it would be tight. The larger one would probaly work better. I love this bag, I own 2 of them and Ilove the fact that I can drape it over my shoulder and not have teh "bulge" around my already bulging tummy.. :rotfl2:

Hi Kimba~ Inside there are 2 pockets. You can easily fit a flat camera ( by that I mean one without a protruding lens). Not sure about a small camcorder. Travelon does make different sizes in these bags. The one I own is item #F9809, but there is one a bit larger item #F8399, which may work better for a small camcorder. In the front zipper we kept all our maps and times guides, so they were at easy access whenever we needed them. As I mentioned to another poster, I just cannot say enough about these bags. I am a larger gal and just do not like things around my waist, The wide shoulder strap also makes it a comfortable wear without a choking feeling around your neck. Hope that helps..have a wonderful trip!!

I just bought one at Walmart, 4.97. It is black nylon with 3 seperate compartments along the waist (which expands up to 60" if you need it to) the center is big enought for my small Sony Cam corder and has double zippers and a gusset to prevent it from opening all the way up. It also has a velcro closing pocket on the front that is card size. the left compartment is a rounded top zipped compartment the size of a small camera or cell phone and the right is about the same size but taller and is a velcro tab closure. I like how it keeps everything seperate so if you are grabbing the camera, the other items don't fall out since they are seperate.

It is still smaller than alot of the packs I have seen and the quality is ok, I don't know how it will hold up but since I am only "allowed" to wear it at WDW, it should be fine for me.

Thanks!! I'll have to check the other one out. I may end up with the same ol' fanny pack I always wear, It's so tough to find something "perfect". But I'm always looking!!

I carry a fanny pack I got from the travel 2000 store. I bought mine back around 1985 and it still looks good and I have kicked this thing around all those years. It measures about 12 inches across and 5 inches deep. It has two zippered compartments, one of which has various pockets. The back compartment is one big one. You have the option of using just the shoulder strap if you want. I have used it as a diaper bag too. When my nephew was small I could toss a couple of diapers and extra set of clothes, wipes and a bottle and away we would go for several hours. He was around 6 months at the time. Worked great.

Wouldn't go to Disney without it.

The overland Donner bag from ebags.com...it's like a very roomy handbag that you can wear across your body or on your shoulder. It holds a ton, has two water bottle/umbrella pockets on either side of it, an organizer flap in front, a huge main compartment and a large back pocket, but it still manages to look sleek and stylish without being bulky or unflattering. I LOVE it!!! It's the perfect Disney bag...I mean it certainly isn't a Coach bag, which are my personal favorites, but it will do very nicely for trekking around the world!

good luck!!!

Hi littleladykaty:

Congrats !! Just want to say that I love Coach bags too. They are expensive to some, but worksmanship and life-time warrantee are well worthy.
