Waikiki Trolley?

Has anyone used the Waikiki Trolley in the Waikiki area at all? I was planning to use Uber to get to the various places we want to go to when we don't want to walk, but this seems to be a cheap and easy option with lots of convenient hop off/hop on points. Anyone have any opinions on it? Thanks!

We used it from the Ala Moana mall to go check out Waikiki Beach. We were on the pink line.

I've used the pink line to go to the Ala Moana mall. It has a handful of pickup/drop off points in Waikiki. It's $2 and cash only.

We're staying at Marriott Waikiki Beach which seems to be on one end of the "strip". We'll be going to the Hilton Hawaiian Village area as well as the Hale Koa, Outrigger Reef, Halekulani, and the post office on Saratoga Rd. All of these seem to be at the other end of the strip. Are they close enough to walk from the Marriott? My thought was to use the pink line trolley as a means of transportation up to this area whenever we go.

I've walked that distance before, and enjoyed it. But, that was years ago, so depends on how you plan to spend your day. I enjoy the walk, but you could walk over one direction and take the trolley (never taken it) or The Bus back? Sometimes walking is quicker, depending on traffic!

Good to know. Wasn't sure if the walk was a couple city blocks or a mile or so. We'll headed to dinner so I may not be in the best walking attire either! lol

The pink line is $2 and it goes to the mall, all the other lines are more expensive and mostly used by Japanese. For Daimondhead I would use the city bus, for Pearl Harbor I would use a shuttle. Everything in Waikiki is walkable, Waikiki is not that big. Walking Waikiki is a great experience, wear flip flops and walk along the beach.

Here is a trick, they do not allow the pamphlet passers and time share salesman on the ocean side of Kalakaua, so always walk on that side

We've stayed at the HHV before and walked all the way to the area near the Marriott with a kid in a stroller. It's a walk but it's doable. It'll be faster then waiting for the trolley IMO.

It's about a mile or so depending on if you walk on the street or the beach, but it's totally a doable walk.
