We arrive around 9pm and will have been traveling from Boston. We are planning to spend the night in Waikiki then do some sightseeing etc there in the morning before heading to Aulani. Anyone have a good hotel recommendation?

THanks

We stayed about 8 years ago at "Outrigger Waikiki on the Beach" it was a great hotel and at the time if you booked partial ocean view or higher they gave you free breakfast which was a nice buffet and with the cost of food in Waikiki it was a really nice inclusion. In fact we would eat a big late buffet breakfast, skip lunch and then just have dinner. If I was going again I would definitely stay at this hotel

I also stayed at Outrigger Waikiki on the Beach last February and loved it. It is in a great central location right on the beach. I had a city view but still had a view of Diamond Head and could see the ocean from my balcony. Duke's is a fun place to eat in the hotel and right on the beach. I booked my room through AAA.

I flew in from NJ and I was up around 5:00am with the time difference. If you want to see Pearl Harbor, book yourself an early tour to be there right at opening. You'll most likely be up anyway.

Enjoy.

We have also stayed at the Outrigger Waikiki before and would recommend it. It is a good location for a reasonable price. A lot of people go from Aulani into Waikiki just to eat at Dukes...this way you could start out your vacation by dining there your first night without having to make a special trip!

I have stayed at a couple other hotels too including the Outrigger Reef but this one is better for not a WHOLE lot more.

Outrigger is a great value and a nice place to stay. We also stayed at the Sheraton Waikiki when we were out there to tour Aulani just before it opened. We really enjoyed it and got a good room rate.
