Our TDS opening crowd was DH & I and one other woman.
I even ran to the other TDS hoping to meet fellow addicts -- er' traders. I think the biggest crowd there was the working CM's who bought at store opening.
So I am wondering if:
1) People will arrive at opening to get pins from now on. (Thinking last weekend they could go in anytime and buy whatever they wanted.)
2) Those who didn't get #1 will drop off completely.
3) Since there is no "big" attraction like #1, if again I will just see the same woman from last week at opening! ;)

What's everyone else's thoughts?

I will probably be there at 9:30 tomorrow morning waiting for the store to open at 10 a.m. I probably won't send my husband to another store like we did last weekend - "just in case."

there was a small line at the store when we got there but everyone got at least one set. I don't think that all the pins will be gone but as I only want a few I am not worried. I think I will wear a few pins and see if anyone is trading. I know one lady brought a pin bag last week but they are out of my small fish league.

I expect that the there will be alot more people waiting at my local store. Last week, at the next closest store, one family bought every single pin! All the people that missed out there will probably be at "my" store on Saturday!

I'm sure I'll be there at 9:30am. this time at the same store as Matthew (we split up last week, just in case) I'll probably be sitting outside the store grumbling about how I don't get to sleep in this weekend and that I'm going to miss SpongeBob Square Pants Sunday morning because we are going to be in Philly. (Yes, I'm weird). I'll have a caffeine IV attached to my arm with Hot Tea being fed directly into my veins. And when it finally kicks in I'll start bouncing all over the place because 1) we are buying pins! and 2) We are going to Philly to see all our pin friends!!

And that is what will happen at The Disney Store in Chesterfield Towne Center, Richmond, VA :) :) :) :)

Could someone explain what is going on with the pins? I don't have any pins but I think it sounds fun. Why would I want to be the first in line on Saturday at the Disney store?

CapHook, The Disney Stores are releasing a set of pin in celebration of Walt's 100th Birthday. There are 7 or 8 coming out each week on Saturday at store opening. There is also a pin bag and bider available.

Last week the first pin in the series, a Walt & Mickey pin, sold out in minutes at most stores. Unfortunately they had no limit in place and some people (using the term loosly) bought out the store. This week they have instituted a 5 pin lmit. on the first day.

Here is a link to Dizpins that shows last week's pins and should shortly display this week's pins.

I am only looking for 2 pins, #9 & #10. I will probably buy some of the others to use as traders.

We will still be there about 9:30. We'll have a crowd because:

1) we are really desperate for pins in Syracuse!

2) We have a pin meet planned upstairs in the food court after we all buy our pins!

3) My kids will just die of pin envy if they don't get more pins before the meet!

Chris

PS here's the info on our pin meet.

It will start by 11:00 in the food court of carousel Mall (by Mr. smoothies and the escalator up to the movies). We will go until at at least 2:00. We should have a few dozen people and children are welcome ~ of course. Hope you can make it.

I think I am toast. The Diamondbacks have a game at 1:05 PM, I am to be down on the field for a presentation of a watch at 11:30 AM. My Diamondbacks play-off tickets are supposed to be delivered and need my signature at 10:30 AM. I am scheduled to go to Cave Creek Arizona at 9:30 AM to pick up 1,800 feet of red, white and blue lanyard material. I still gotta go get a pair of soccer shin guards today and it is Bobblehead night tonight which means I will be hanging out with 15,000 of my closest friends most of the day in line for one of those. I feel an adventure coming on.

I'd be surprised to see any of these pins selling out like they did last week. Although many are very pretty, I just can't spot a hot "must-have" for sale tomorrow.

What I *will do* is stock up on a few tradables. I'll get $4.00 cheapos. Tomorrow is our last day to use our 20% DC discount, we'll pay a little over $3.00 for them.

I'll be sitting in front of the Chesterfield Town Center DS enjoying a Chick-Fil-A chicken biscuit listening to Lauri grumbling about not getting to sleep in this weekend and having to miss SquareBob SpongePants or something like that. And when she starts bouncing all over the place after her hot tea IV I'll be thinking "I should have made decaf."

I was again in TDS today. (surprise, surprise)
The mgr said they were told by their home office to expect lines.
I am doubtful of that here. But plan to be there early, just in case.
There may be more than just two of us, like last Saturday. Last week may have put some fear in people. But I will be surprised to see a large gathering.

I hope they will limit the number of pins one can purchase. Last week, the person in front of me grabbed an entire rack of #1 pins. You have to be quick.:bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

Trade on pin traders!

King Triton

They will be limited on the first day to 5 per item, per person. But you know, they can have mom, dad, sis and Junior stand in line with 5 pins each or get in line over and over with 5 pins each time.

Wanda

The limit is FIVE pins of each style per person for the first day. You can't get back in line and get more pins. So if you need more than 5.....you'd better bring your kids. :D

The CM mgr told me today it was 5 pins of one style, per person, per day. But how would they keep track if you bought them in the morning and came back later, or even that evening?
Maybe they should take pictures of people's eye balls! :jester:
And my guess is, IF there were another hot pin, you would see mother, father, brother, kid(s), uncle, aunt, friend.....

Thanks for posting the site info, it is great to get a sneak peek at some of the pins comming up, my new bag is going to get really heavy!!
