My daughter hates riding in her stroller at home. We do have a collapsible wagon at home. We are going in October. Which do you think I should bring for my will be almost 4 daughter?

Wagons aren't allowed at WDW.

You know I know this is true BUT..... The last 2 trips down (this past NOV and last June) I saw more than 1 of the collapsable wagons. I pointed them out to my DH. I assumed they were let in because the collapse down where as a regular wagon does not. Would be interested to see if anyone else has any info on this as we have one of the wagons that collapse and have considered it ourselves. :confused3

Local here-have not seen a wagon in the park. I have seen people turned away at the gate with a wagon(collapsible and hard sided).

They are on the list of things not allowed in the parks. It could be the people you saw snuck it in, which I wouldn't recommend. Leave your wagon at home, odds are you wouldn't be able to use it.

Why not just rent one of Disney's strollers? It makes life so much easier. It cuts down on what you need to pack for the trip. If you are flying, it could save money. If you take something like the Magical Express, it could potentially save time. (Less time waiting for the driver to pull it out from storage under the bus.) It makes it easier to get through all the entry ways to the parks. Once inside, just grab a stroller, do your thing, and leave it behind. If you suddenly lose it, Cast Members quickly get you another one. I believe it costs $10, but that's $10 well spent. The only draw back is kids who fall asleep on the ride back to the resorts. Carrying passed out children around sizable resorts is no fun, especially if you have shopping bags, too.

Looks like we will be down there the same time :thumbsup2

I've done the bring my own stroller and the rental thing and we found we prefer our own. It depends on your own unique dynamics. More than for the kids I feel like I need a stroller to lug my crap around in, lol. It's a security thing :lmao: Anyway, like I said I saw the wagon thing there in June. In November I saw one again and pointed it out to my DH and said SEE there's another one. I probably wouldn't bring ours anyway. I hate how the collapsable ones pull. They drive crazy all over the place because of the wonkie way the handle is attached to the frame of the wagon itself. I'll keep my McClaron umbrella stroller with it's basket. It has served us well over the years :thumbsup2

Most airlines do not charge for strollers and you are able to gate check the stroller so you have it to navigate the airport. If you are interested in renting, check out some of the outside stroller rental places. They will deliver a stroller to your resort and pick it up when your stay is over. There are several available, just google Orlando stroller rentals or search theses boards for stroller rental information. Depending on the length of your stay, they could be cheaper than the park strollers.

I have seen someone try to bring one in get stopped and told to fold it. I assume they were told to rent a locker to store it, walk five feet past the gate, open it up again only to repeat the whole fold it and store it, try a third time and get escorted from the park. They are dangerous in a crowded park as they are tripping hazard

Yes.
Anything pulled behind is not allowed. But, wagons are Los specifically listed.

That would be my guess.
I have seen the same thing happen with large pull behind strollers and people bringing in suitcases ( and, not only the little ones that fit in airplane overhead bins - the big 26 inch ones too).

This is from the FAQs page on the WDW website:

Q. Are there any personal items I should not bring with me into the Theme Parks?

A. Items that you may not bring into the Theme Parks include, but are not limited to:

Items with wheels, such as wagons, skateboards, scooters, inline skates, shoes with built-in wheels, two-wheeled or three-wheeled conveyances, strollers larger than 36" x 52", suitcases, coolers, or backpacks with or without wheels larger than 24" long x 15" wide x 18" high (coolers required for medication may be stored in a locker or at Guest Relations), and any trailer-like object that is pushed or towed by an ECV wheelchair or stroller
Alcoholic beverages
Weapons of any kind
Folding chairs

So glad someone asked about this. My DH and I have been 'discussing' it and I have been trying to tell him that wagons aren't allowed; nor, do I want to try and steer that dang thing! I win! :goodvibes

The weight is 50 lb on single 100 lbs on the double and the single is small! As said you still need to get out of he park with a sleeping little one, or a large airport. Picking up an inexpensive stroller or renting off site is he best option.

Do not let your bangs with gifts, cameras, or expensive items unattended. While someone would think twice of taking bags off a stroller, they will and do push it away unnoticed. If you buy that stuffed animal, Tshirt etc and hang it on the stroller or put your heavy camera in the bag to ride an attraction, beware.

There have been recent issues with the stroller being taken, packages removed and parked by trash cans as if broken. Shame as they rarely end up in lost and found, the target is the goods, not so much the inexpensive or used stroller.
