Can anyone tell me about these? I read about them last night and have been wanting to ride a carriage ride. If you have taken one of these, can you let me know about your experience? Also, any photos would be wonderful! I saw a photo once of the Sleigh, but I can't seem to find it now.

Hi, I don't have any photos but You can pick up the sleighs at night at the settlement and they will take you around the campground so you can look at all the lights and such.
They also offer nightly wagon rides down to the beach. They take you down about a half hour before the fireworks and you can sit there and have an amazing view. I'm not to sure what the coast was but I remember them being very reasonable.

We just went on a carriage ride on Dec. 1 for the first time. We loved it. It was $35 cash or room/site charge only. Make sure when you make reservations that you note the location. I guess a lot of people were coming over to Fort Wilderness for their sleigh rides, but they should have been at the Wilderness Lodge. I'm glad we were able to do it. We really enjoyed it. Try it - you'll like it.

DH and I did the carriage ride over at POR with Becky driving and Ike hauling. We took along a bottle of champagne to toast my birthday. I have to say DH must really love me because it was during the second quarter of the Superbowl!
