I've reads lots on here about the Disney water situation - price of bottled water, icky tap water, free ice water, etc., and have concluded that I'd probably still prefer to have some bottled water shipped to our resort.

Can anyone tell me what places will ship water to resorts, what they charge, and if there's a minimum order? I've heard Staples has a minimum. How about Wal-Mart (cheap water)? Do you place your order online?

TIA for your help!!

P.S. Has anyone ever packed some empty water bottles and filled them at your resort? Or, for those with filter bottles - does it really kill the bad taste?:surfweb:

Just moving this to Resorts so the folks here can chip in with their experiences and advice.

I take water bottles with me and fill them up at the food court using the water tap and ice. I prefer water over soda, and no one has ever said anything to me about using the food court water.

To me that water tastes fine. :-)

Yeah I just refill my water from soda machines at counter services or use tap water and ice at the resort. Sometimes I'll use drinking fountains. It all works and none of it tastes icky. It's also better for me personally to use a refillable bottle rather than waste all that plastic and spend a lot of money.

We always just get water in the park ~ I bring flavor packets to put in sometimes.

My kids are too "green" to drink bottled water. Thanks public school version of Earth Day education.

Yup - Walmart. $4.45/case delivered to your resort. There are several threads with details as to when to order and how to address it so it gets to you.

This is what we are doing :thumbsup2

We will still buy water in the parks at some point because August is too hot for us not to have a cold bottle with us constantly. But at least every time we leave the room in the AM and after a midday break, we will always start out with a couple from our fridge.

I have my resort mug at the parks, and fill with ice water. You can go up to any CS, or many carts and ask for ice water. I carry a bottle of Mio to add, and it's fine.
I think the filter bottles would work fine too. I've used them in other places and it does take out the yucky taste.
