Waffles. Strawberries. Tell us where to find them.

Hi all,

My husband is willing to accompany me for a completely unnecessary Disneyland trip, so I feel I must reward him with his favourite breakfast. Where’s the best place in (or walking distance from) the parks to find waffles with strawberries (preferably fresh berries rather than topping)?

If you stay concierge at the Disneyland Hotel, they have Mickey waffles, and I think fresh berries in the morning. (I have seen videos, but haven't stayed concierge there.............yet).

Plaza Inn Character Breakfast. I believe they have the strawberry topping, BUT I also believe they have fresh fruit too.

Do NOT count on the Mickey Waffles at DLH CL. They are a decent “reward” for no one. They were always cold because they are out in a basket under a heat lamp to stay warm and it doesn’t work. Just back from a stay there, tried them on a couple days since I love waffles: absolutely just pass.

If you want outside the park, the places that serve Mickey waffles are the Paradise Pier Surf's Up Lounge (large waffle) and, I believe, the character breakfast (or non-character breakfast) at Storyteller's Cafe at GCH. You should be able to get fruit added on the side for an additional fee.

White Water Snacks has mini Mickey waffles with strawberry compote and they're delicious.

Character buffets have them....Storyteller's (in GCH) and Plaza Inn (Minnie's) both have mini Mickey waffles and toppings... and plenty of fresh fruit available. Carnation Café (TS) on Main Street has big Mickey waffles and you can get strawberry topping (though you can probably get fresh fruit there too!) YUM!! Mickey waffles!!

I know that Carnation Café has Mickey waffles with strawberry compote. Some of their breakfasts come with a side of fresh fruit, so it might be worth asking for a few fresh strawberries to boot.

Idk when OPs trip is but White Water is closed for the re-work of that area of the pool, going to awhile before it opens again.

It's not waffles, but if fresh stuffed brioche french toast will work, S55 at the DLH has this (delicious!) with lots of fresh berries on top (ask for extra!). Last time we were there, the berry mix included lots of fresh strawberries.

Keep checking the app for cancellations. With the 24 hour cancellation policy in place, it is not uncommon to find cancellations anywhere from a few days to the day before. It helps to have a Priority Seating reservation (DLR's version of ADR) at CC -- sometimes they don't accept walk ups.

Do not count on there being walk-ups. The last few trips I’ve taken this year, anyone without a reservation was turned away, and I wasn’t there at especially busy times. This was also the case at Cafe Orleans. Definitely keep checking the app for a slot to open up.

Couldn't remember when they're closing. I just hope they're open by December when we're staying over again!
