with possible a foot of snow possible! :sad2:

Winter storm watch in effect from Saturday afternoon to late sunday night,
The NWS in cleveland oh has issued a winter storm watch for most of northern ohio.
A late season winter storm may bring heavy snow to northern ohio late saturday through Sunday evening. Rain will change to snow from west to east Saturday into Saturday evening then continue through early sunday night.
Intitally the warm ground will melt the snow, but as temperatures cool toward the freezing point, the snow should start to accumulate saturday afternoon into Saturday night. By the time the snow tapers off Sunday night, places in inland north central and northeast ohio from around mansfield through the snow belt could see up to a foot of snowfall. The rest of the area may see 6 to 8 inches.
A winter storm watch is issued when severe winter weather is possible, but not imminent. At the time, there is a potential for significant snow and/or ice accumulations. Future driving and walking conditions may become hazardous, so it is important to monitor the latest forecasts.
Stay tuned to noaa weather radio and other local media for further details or updates.

This Ohio weather is seriously making us consider moving to Florida. :sunny: During the last snowstorm, we lost power for a few hours and it was cold in this house! :cold: Any chance the forecasters could be wrong? ;)

I'm sorry :umbrella: I feel your pain...

Have you thought about jumping on a plane this morning? ::MickeyMo

This weather is killing me... I am not looking forward to snow again... and NOT this much. The thunderstorms yesterday were bad enough :(

I really want to move south ;)

I was in Columbus for DD's cardiology appt. and the two hour drive there and back was horrible in the rain and storms! Very stressful drive!!

My SIL lives there and she told me this yesterday. I am angry that the high today is only going to be 70 instead of 80...I guess it could be worse.

Wow.

My son is in Easst Lansing, MI. They are expecting more than a foot over the weekend with high winds. Where did htis storm come from?

Not from MN area! We're cold and sunny. No precip.

herc.

Are the winter storm watches for lake effect snow? We are expecting some snow in Western PA, but luckily, we are too far south for lake effect.

We made that drive last Dec in the pouring from DS's neurosurgeon appointment at Children's, and it was horrible! It took forever, and I hate driving when it's raining so hard. Glad you made it back ok!

(Hoping you're the same DISer that lives near me, :earboy2: )
