W.I.S.H. Check-in Thread for February 15, 2004

I either lost 1lb or gained 5lbs. I really need a digital scale. I think I'm going to go with the 1lb loss.

Hi All

Just checking in to say Hi - haven't checked in for three weeks - two weeks at WDW & home one week! I have my gain to loose - but getting back on track!!

Well done to all you loosers,
Claire

Yeah Everyone - I am having some issues with the scale so I will have to go by how I feel and how my clothes are doing. Do not ever buy a scale from IKEA - I'm telling you this thing is really terrible.

I have to report that I joined a gym - have been keeping up with Yoga on a thrice weekly basis. I worked out today and on Friday. I am going to get myself looking better by March, darnit.

Ack! I forgot to weigh-in this morning! I woke up a wee bit late and was rushing to get ready. I will weigh in tomorrow morning, I swear! I did have a Valentine's day cheat but I'm back on track today so if the scale isn't in my favor, I'll know why. ;)

See you tomorrow, send some PD my way for a loss or at least maintain! LOL

I lost 1.4 this week, and it officially broke my plateau! Whew!

I am officially at 141 this week! Woo hoo! Onward and downward!

I lost 4.5 lbs this week, for a total of 18!! :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

New clippie for me today!!! :jumping1:

Soo many here had a GREAT Week!!! Congrats!!!

Still maintaining again this week. The good news is that I'm not gaining. I have been good, & I am exercising a lot. I'm hoping that I am gaining muscle because that will help in the long run for me to be healthy & to get rid of the fat & keep it off. I am feeling much more toned, & I can do things I could not do a few weeks ago. I'll hang in here. The lbs have to start coming off again sooner or later.

I am down 2.8 for the weeks and only a wee bit away from my weekly goal, so I am excited. My one year anniversary is tomorrow and if I can drop another .4 by then I will be shouting from the rooftops!!

Hi everyone:wave:
Keep up the good work::yes::

I lost 2lb last week:cool1: :cool1:. I'm really pleased with that. I got to ONEderland just over a week ago and this week I can claim my first GOLD clippie:hyper:.

Hope everyone is having a great week
:wave2:

Hi Everyone! I stayed the same this week. We had family visiting so we ate out a lot this week. I'm just glad I didn't gain! Good luck this week everyone.

Woo Hoo!!!! :Pinkbounc :bounce: I lost 2.5 pounds this week! I was a bit surprised because I don't usually have good losses two weeks in a row and last week I lost 3.5. I get to change my clippie, too!! I don't think I've ever changed my clippie two weeks in a row!! :jumping1:

Onward and Downward, WISH friends!!! Tons of :wizard: for a great week!!!

"Maintenance" for me this week ;) But I have now completed 25% of my 12 weeks to walking a 1/2 marathon training. I plan to take more than the 12 weeks to do this (weather is still making road-work difficult), but continuing with Curves has been really helpful for me.

Congrats to all ...

I am happy to report another lb gone this week. Congrats to all the losers and maintainers this week.

One pound gone this week. I'm really having trouble with this right now. I know one pound is progress, one more gone, etc., but I really want to keep up my loss rate - and one pound a week isn't going to cut it. I would feel better about it if I had a big loss last week (only one pound as well), or if I had a bad week eating-wise, but I thought I did well last week. I was a little low on the water intake over the long weekend, but other than that...

I really needed to see the scale move this week, because I spent all day yesterday sorting and bagging up all my too-big clothes, which was incredibly difficult for me. I can't really explain why, but it was hard, really hard. So I desperately needed that happy scale boost this morning - and nothing doing. It's so hard to believe that my healthy eating and exercise will work in the long run when I'm just not making the progress I want. When it didn't work this week, why should it work next week?

And yet I have to keep going, because I am committed to living this healthy life for life. I just want to see the results of all my hard work. I sincerely hope everyone else is having a better week.

I'm late checking in, but I had a 2 lb. loss as of Saturday.

That makes a total of 8 lbs lost by low-carbing. Woo Hoo!

I hope this week is as good!
Congrats to all others as well!!!!! :bounce: :bounce:

Hi there! It's been a longgg time since i've checked in. Been going through a bit.
I'm doing as I expect as if I am on maintenance. Up a little not a lot. I'm getting back to it and look forward to continuing my journey to making healthy choices. I'm went up 6 pounds since the end of October. I consider that as not bad. I pledged to myself about a year ago that I would never let myself get up as high as I had been and I haven't regained to that point. I am thankful. I am moving again and continue to make better choices. The exercising is certainly key for me and I am determined to make that 1/2 marathon somehow.

Everyone, I know this is a struggle, try not to become too discouraged. You/we can do it. Keep on keepin' on.

Aunt Flo has finally left me, and i am back down to the 284lbs i was b4 her visit. With luck i'll see that 10 lb clippie b4 she rolls back around again next month.

Well - due to some bad food choices I'm up a bit this week. However, I DID drink all my water and started back on the WATP tapes. Have a great week everyone!:)

April,
A pound a week is great! Weight loss studies show that people who lose slowly tend to keep it off. The best programs don't recommend losing more then 2 lbs a week so it's not like you are not on track.

Just remember, that you did not wake up one morning overweight. It took a while to get where we are and we should expect the same to get back to where we belong.

I maintained this week. While I would like a loss at least I don't have a gain!

I have been stalled out for a while, and not overly motivated, but finally have hit a little burst again and lost 2 lbs this week which put me at my goal weight with WW!!!! I went to the meeting today, and was pleasantly surprised when I stepped on the scale - it was even a little lower than my home scale was this morning!!! Yipee!!!!

I had a personal goal of a few pounds below this, but if I can just get a 2 lb fudge zone going I will be happy for a while. I still need to do some toning so that I can bear shopping for bathing suits for our upcoming WDW trip, but hopefully this will give me the burst of incentive! I have been enjoying getting back into old clothes that have had to be resurrected out of the back of my closet (even if they aren't high fashion right now) and I really need to go shopping to get some updated stuff, but held off until I was closer to goal so as not to have to shift sizes again. I have never been a "skinny minnie", but I will be satisfied being a solid size 10 here now for a while. The lowest I've ever gone was down to an 8, but even if I go down a little, I can still wear the 10s just a little loose.

I have to say it has been fun getting compliments again. I ran into someone this weekend who hasn't seen me since when I was pregnant (DS will be 2 next month) and she was impressed that I have stayed so slim! Little did she know that it took me these whole 2 yrs to get back to this, but that is an ok secret.

Now if I can just hold on to this and not regress - that is the whole battle, isn't it? Maintenance!!! I got my new maintenance book from WW today since the plans have changed since I was on it last- I think I have it down pretty good, but need to keep it in the forefront of my mind so I don't let my guard down again and gain it back. Going to start getting rid of my bigger sizes so it isn't there as a crutch - if the jeans don't fit, then time to go down, not go get the next size up from the closet.

Way to go to all who have been working the WISH programs - keep up the good work and don't get discouraged!!! We can all get there eventually- it isn't a sprint, it is for the long haul - a marathon, but it is a good run!!!!
