W.I.S.H. Check-in Thread for February 1, 2004

No loss for me this week, I hope February is a better month than January. I had been losing at least 5 pounds a month until this month. I know we hit these bumps, so I will not let it discourage me....yet.

helenk- I know what you mean. I have been losing and gaining the same two pounds for a month now.
I didn't check in last week, but I am up a 1/2 pound since the last time I checked in. I really hope this month gets better, but it is going to be an extremely busy month. Good luck everyone!:sunny:

I'm down 3.6 pounds this week. That's a total of 15 for the month. Hope I can keep it up.

I finished my first week of Atkins induction with a loss of 4 pounds. I had hoped for five, so I'd get a clippy, but I'm happy with 4 pounds in one week! Especially since (of all weeks!) I started induction the very week I have PMS - oops. I had a few cravings, but no cheats.

My mother (who is a lurker here but won't register!) lost 10 pounds during her first week on Atkins! Way to go mom!!!!

Onward and downward . . .

No loss this week, but no gain either! (And I was bad at the Super Bowl Party!)

I have only lost 1lb this week - but its a lb that has gone forever:hyper:

Hope everyone has a great week:wave2:

I want to report in that I have lost 3.5 pounds this week bringing my total to 30.5 pounds in two months! I love South Beach and I love my gold clippie!

No loss or gain for me this week. Considering "Aunt Flo" and the bloat fairy decided to visit during the same week this month I guess maintaining is a small victory in itself. We'll see what next week brings when I don't have any excuses! :D

I had a 2 lb. loss this week and I was able to claim my 15 lb clippie. :teeth: Keep up all the hard work everyone! We can all do this with each others encouragement. You can't find a better group than on these boards!:grouphug:

I'm back "even" after my long slide from mid-Nov...so hopefully I can claim my 15lb clippie later this week.

AND with a new computer I can finally be the active WISHER that I want to be!

Thank you all for the motivation I receive from you!

I avoided this thread last week and I was tempted to bypass it again this week, but thought I should hold myself accountable. Last week was a hard week for me eating wise, I was always hungry and against my better judgement I fed that hunger. I gained 1.6 pounds and have just been struggling a bit. After the gain I have managed to lose 0.9, so I still have 0.7 to go to get back to where I was 1/22. I feel as if I am obsessing over the weight any more and I almost feel out of control with my eating and it makes me a bit sad. I have 15 days until my 1 year anniversary and I so much want to be down at the very least 3.3 pounds, but ideally 4.3 pounds. Maybe I am putting too much pressure on myself, I don't know.

Well enough of my pity party. Congratulations to all the losers and maintainers here, you all are inspirational in your own way. And for those of us struggling .

I maintained this week and I'm still caught in the 1-2 lb. yo-yo I've been on since early December.

I know that exercise is the key and I've got to start it again. Work just has me so beat that I usually don't. I skipped posting last week, but like tiggerlover felt I had to be accountable to make my goal.

So a new day, a new week and and a new month - let's make them good ones!

Congrats to all the losers and posters!

Last week I was too flabbergasted to post my weigh in-- I had gotten down to 177- only a pound away from my next clippie- then my doctor made me go on Vioxx and I had to stop exercising to let my shoulder heal (still not healed!) well the next week- even with eating well I weighed 184!!! HOW!!! So I just laid off the scales and ate normally and this week it's back down to 179- so over two weeks that's a net gain of 2- but I'm not fretting it- I'm off the Vioxx and trying to mend myself- will get back in the swing slowly but determinedly! :)

ONWARDS & DOWNWARDS!!!!

Tara

Yippee! Three more pounds gone this week, which adds up to 64 pounds total! Only one more pound to a new clippie, 4 pounds to my Valentine's goal (I might actually make it!), and 11 pounds to that gorgeous BLUE clippie. I'm going to hit 200 days of exercise in a row this month as well - just 24 days to go!

Last week went pretty well, eating-wise. I overate a little bit at dinner on Saturday, but I just couldn't resist sharing some white chocolate gelato (and scrumptious biscotti) with DH for dessert. At least I didn't have too much bread, and chose salmon instead of pasta. I did well on Superbowl Sunday as well, although it helped that we didn't actually watch the game (taped for later). :p We still had hamburgers and guacamole (and green beans) to "celebrate" the game, the first beef burger I've had in months. We tried baked Tostitos, which were actually pretty good with the guac.

I just realized that the last time I saw 232 on the scale was probably 6.5 years ago. Look out 220's, here I come!

Whoo Hooo!! Down 3 lbs. on my first week of ww. That is my goal 1-2 lbs a week. By the time my cruise rolls around, I hope to not be embarrassed on the beach. Have a good week everyone!

Congratulations to everyone!! What a great bunch of losers we have here :hyper:

I lost 2lbs this week and I was able to claim a new clippie :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc Just another 5lbs to go and I'll turn blue! :teeth:

I have found that since I kicked my exercise up this year and added weights that my weight loss has decreased by approx. a pound a week. I'm guessing that I must be adding muscle. Has anyone else found this?

i avoided this thread too last week like tiggerlover -- had a very bad weekend. I'm not even sure how to report in b/c I have been fluctuating sooo much. Let's just say I'm down a bit from the holidays, with about 6 more lbs to go. I'm up a bit from my siggie, so I'll update that here this morning and go from there

AARgh!! I'm up; I'm down; I'm up; I've been on a seesaw for weeks. Today I am up 2 pounds over last week's check-in. It has been so helpful to read the other posts where people are struggling, but still coming and posting. Good luck to all of us.

16 days on SBD and 10 pounds gone for good.
I can hardly believe it. I feel so good.
good job everyone.
