We arrived early on Sunday the 11th, checked in and then went to MK and got our AP's. We ate some lunch and called about our room and it was ready at about 1:30. We just unpacked and relaxed for the rest of the day.
On Monday I went with my mother on the Keys to the Kingdom tour and we had a great time. DH was suppose to come but he was sick. DH & I had been on the tour years ago and this time it was a little different. Mom & I came home and we all ate at the Whispering Canyon Cafe then Mom & I went back to MK to see the Spectromagic Parade and Wishes. It was a long day for both of us but we had a great time.
On Tuesday we had some things to take care of and then we went to see Harry Potter. Just relaxed the rest of the day.
On Wensday we went to Epcot and went on Soarin for the first time. WOW, what a great ride. We got lucky and didn't wait long to get on the ride. We ate at Alfredo's in Italy. We tried to get into Canada to eat but they were booked.
On Thursday we went to MK. DH wasn"t feeling well so we didn't stay very long. I went to the Members Merry Mixer and had pictures taken with Mickey & Minnie and Chip & Dale. Of course I had cider and cookies. It was a nice affair.
On Friday we went to MGM...I got on ToT (of course) and we had to get fast passes for RnR. There was a 70 min. wait time. We went and did Star Tours. When we went back to RnR, Lou Diamon Phillips & his family were in front of us waiting for their car. We ate at the Brown Derby.
On Saturday I went to Downtown on the bus to go shopping. It was raining & the stores were packed. DH came over later in the car and we ate at Wolfgang Puck's. What great pizza!!!
On Sunday we went to the movies, ate at Wolfgang Puck's again & just relaxed for the rest of the day.
On Monday I went to AK. There were a lot of animals out on the Safari ride. A lot of them were so close to the road you could almost reach out and touch them. The Everest ride looks great. They were running empty cars while I was there. Can't wait for this to open. Saw the Lion King show and it's still as good as the first time I saw it. We ate at Artists Point, my personal favorite. I went to the Steamin Hot Chocolate DIS gathering at VWL's Iron Spike room. It was great to meet some people from the DIS and talk Disney. THANKS, New Yawka for getting us together.
On Tuesday we went to MGM to see Lights, Motors, Action. Was a great show but a loooooong wait. We went to Epcot and saw the American Adventure, a must see on every trip. We were going to do Test Track until we saw there was a 70 min. wait time. They had already closed the fast pass machines.
On Wensday I went back to Epcot to finish Xmas shopping. I came home and dropped off my packages and went to AK to see the Jammin Jungle Parade. To everyone from the Hot Chocolate DIS meet that told me it was the best parade, a big THANKS!!! It really is a fun parade. I came back home after the parade & ate dinner. Then I went to MGM to see the Osborne Spectale of Lights. It really is beautiful but I do miss the houses from the suburbs being decorated too. Came home and had to start packing. All good things must come to an end. For a little while anyway.
Happy New Years to everyone.
