How difficult is it to walk from VWL to the TTC?

I went on Google earth and there appears to be 2 ways to get there. Pines/Topiary at 0.54 miles or Timberline/Seven Seas at 0.62 miles'

This is about the same distance as BWV to DHS, but there is an off road pedestrian path there.

You can't. There really are no sidewalks, and if you try security will pick you up. Lots of traffic, it could be dangerous.

Why would you want to?

We always walk from BWV to DHS , especially in the am. But there they have a nice wide sidewalk along the boat canal, nowhere near the street.

At just over a half mile it barely takes 15 minutes to walk. If you wait for the ferry, by the time you're done picking up at BCV and S&D you''re lucky if you get there in 30 min.

We were looking for a quick route to monorail to Epcot. If we boat to MK or CR we still have to go to TTC to switch trains.

Yes, we like that walkway to DHS too, but why not just take the boat to MK and grab the monorail or ferry from there? I know you will still have to change trains, but I don't see any other way to do it. You will NOT be allowed to walk where there is no sidewalk. I always wish there was a way to walk to Epcot from OKW too, but it's also impossible.

where are you trying to get too?

VWL/WL has buses to all the Disney parks/wp/dd. it has a boat to MK, and another one to CR, FW.

I have walked it - but that was before VWL existed and the road was not used as much as today. Even then it was dangerous. there is no sidewalk or walking path.

We want to get to Epcot for am EMH.
We HATE buses.
But DH gets lost EVERYTIME we drive anywhere down there.
So we walk. But we usually stay at BWV or BLT.
Maybe we,ll try driving to TTC, it looks like you go straight down Timberline to Seven Seas to the parking lot.
Only I,m worried he,ll get turned around when we leave. (Don,t ask how many times we,ve circled the racetrack trying to leave MK)

The drive is easy.

Here click on this map and then move it around until you see the VWL and then you can practice driving from there to Epcot.

And no that is not the way to get to the TTC parking lot you will have to go out and come around it would be very difficult. The entrance is on World Drive after you pass through the ticket gates.

The parking lot while right there on the Seven seas has no access from that road. The small lot on the Right side is handicap and AAA only.

This is a great map, too.

Thanks I'll check them out in the morn. The maps won't open on my tablet for some reason-

Getting in and out of any of the Magic Kingdom resorts takes some practice as you can only go so far down World Drive before it ends and you have to turn and go toward Fort Wilderness.

Or as you said you have to go to Seven Seas drive and go past the Polynesian, until it dead ends, take a left and follow the signs to Epcot.

The bottom map is in PDF, do you have Adobe on your tablet. If the link does not work try copying the address.

The second one is the official transportation map for the property with all roads and names.

Oh, I see what you mean.
So to actually get into TTC parking lot you have to enter through the gates on World drive back before the racetrack. (Where we always get in the wrong lane for resorts and end up circle the racetrack)

I haven't parked at TTC since I was a kid coming for daytrips w/ my Aunt. We've been staying on proprty & using Disney transport due to DH's directioanl driving imparement:rotfl::rotfl:. Once he got so flustered he tried to make a U turn on World drive when he realized he missed his turn off:eek:

Try using your GPS if you have one. You may need addresses but those are easily obtained. My DH, who is usually very good with routes but gets turned around at WDW for some reason, has just recently memorized all the roads at WDW. Probably because we have been there 4 times in the last year. Practice makes perfect.

From VWL to Epcot, it's a very easy drive---just follow the signs.
From Epcot back to VWL, follow the signs to Magic Kingdom, go as far right as you can at the toll plaza, and follow the signs to "Magic Kingdom Resorts" and then turn in Timberline.

If that's more complicated than he is able to drive, invest in a GPS, and download the MouseSavers POI file.

you can take the boat to CR and ride the monorail to TTC then transfer to the EPcot monorail.

before you do this be sure to ask at the boat the night before what time the boat starts that morning.

you can take a taxi - but that seems a waste of money (okay I am cheap)

that say the bus ride to Epcot is not bad at all.

or you can go my way - at the wl/vwl entrance turn left - you need to cross over world drive at the stop sign Vista Drive - you are going pass FW - then you want to turn right at Bonnet Creek Parkway - going pass POR and POFQ - then turn right (disney vacation club way - is on the other side) - once you are on world drive it is the next right turn

I prefer going this way also instead of going past the Polynesian, it is quicker and less traffic.
