VWL to AK bus question.

Is this a time consuming trip. DS read it's 1.5 hrs because it leaves VWL,goes thru FW,then to Blizzard beach,then finally onto AK. Can anyone confirm this ?

most of the AK buses also go to BB (but AK opens early BB does not) and yes WL shares a bus with FW.

sometimes it goes to FW first then it would go straight to AK (until BB opens).

While FW is included at times, the usual VWL/AK route in the past didn't include FW. The bus does make a stop at BB (all AK buses stop there for all resorts) it is a very quick stop and is on the way. It stops at BB going to AK in the morning and on the return trip in the afternoon.

The total trip takes about 20 minutes each way- about 35 minutes when FW is included.

An hour and a half?! You do know AK is not Busch Gardens, right?

We rode the route in a circle for an hour with napping kids last year. We made the circuit three times in an hour - but BB was closed and instead of the Campgrounds, we had stops at the Poly and GF.

Once in June, our bus from VWL stopped at FW, Grand Floridian, Poly, and BB before taking us to Animal Kingdom. I believe we'll drive it next time.

Just returned yesterday and took the 7:30 bus.We had a delay in leaving WL due to bus drivers trouble loading a wheelchair guest.Our bus was FULL(people had to stand) and then stopped at the Grand Floridian.By the time we got to AK it was 8:15 .We were on a tour that was to leave at 8:15 but thankfully we were not the last to arrive!!If I ever had to be somewhere at a certain time again I would just drive.

The WL now shares an AK bus with the GF only. No more going to FW to get to the AK. FW has its own bus there. At least that's how it was last week.

Edited to add: Also, since BB was closed last week, we didn't stop there. The DTD busses were stopping at TL though.
