WE leave in less than a week and Im not sure if I requested a studio witha balcony. Do most studios have a balcony? Should I call the dvc # on back of the member card to check or the VWL #. Thanks Lori

most studios at VWL have a balcony/patio - I think there are some on the 5th floor that don't - but that be just the way they look on the outside.

these are like BWV not OKW - so your neighbors are right next to you - not a lot of privacy.

hi, does anyone know about a ground floor studio? any recamondations for a good studio room? thanks.........goof

The ground floor studio I had had a patio.
It was close to the bus stop and the Lodge main building.

I could be mistaken, but I believe all studios have balconies. I think some of them on the top floor are enclosed, and you can only see while standing.

Good luck....

Not all WLV studios have balconies. My parents had a fourth floor lock-off studio with no balcony. I would definitely request it on the reservation.

just booked a studio at the VWL this morn for next Oct!!
I now have something to look forward to when they drag me off the Magic Dec 7

When we were at VWL last June, we were at the Boardwalk DVC center with another couple who were complaining that they had the "Only studio" at VWL without a balcony. Unfortunately I don't know what room number they had. Think it was on the fourth floor, but I'm not sure.

Hi thanks for your reply cherylp3! I rented points from a vacation club owner and have already paid for the room, we requested, ground floor pool view. It turns out that dd's boy friend is coming with us- does anyone know if you can sleep on the cushions of the pull out couch, it will be dh and I, dd and her boyfriend from California? Thanks for your help!......goof

Hi All....There is only ONE room in the Villas that does not have a balcony, it is a studio, and the number of the room is 4533..It was a construction error, but it does have a nice view....

Have a Magical Day.....

Our first stay at VWL was last summer. Not knowing that there was a room without a balcony, we didn't request a balcony room.
As luck would have it, we were assigned room 4533----according to other posts, the only studio without a balcony. The lack of a balcony wasn't an issue at all. We had a wonderful view of the pine woods and could see the lake in the distance. The balconies are very close together and there isn't much privacy on them anyway.
