VWL Room Preferences

We are splitting a July stay between our home resort BCV and a first time stay at VWL (studio).

Can anyone advise about the views from the VWL rooms? Is there one view that is prized over others? We normally ask for a higher room.

I can tell you from experience that 4543 has a lovely view - lake, 4th floor, not too far down the hall, but not so close to the elevator that you hear a lot of pool noise from the balcony.

Pool noise there is actually pool noise by the Villas.

Trees.

The views involve trees.

If you ask for a lake view, you can see the lake thru the trees when tilting your head. Don't worry about getting the bus stop view; you can't see it for the trees.

I found one of the best views for me is sitting and watching the action on a balcony that faces the main lodge (3rd floor and up). There are trees in between the two buildings, the birds are great, you can people watch, but the atmosphere still has that wilderness lodge feel and is just lovely.

Gee, after typing that, I have a great need to go back - NOW.

I'm not sure there are studios near the far end of the Villas building, but that is the only location I'd avoid since it's near the dumpsters. I prefer being close to the pool since it's rarely noisy, and it allows you to people watch a little bit. Anything on floors three and four are generally good.

It actually is all studios that are at the very end and have the dumpster view.
