Hmmmmm......
I'll take the risk of being slammed here and post my opinion, and it is ONLY my opinion, I do not expect you to agree.
First, it is a noisey, distracting place to eat. Don't expect to be able to carry a quiet conversation among your family. The jokes and pranks the CMs pull quickly grow tiresome and a nusance. Near the end of the meal, I couldn't wait to pay and get the heck out of there.
Frankly, we try to teach our kids to behave at dinnertime, and not carry on (as the CMs are doing)...... I feel this type of interactive meal conflicts with our values, and sends the wrong message to the children 'that is OK to act loud, obnoxious and ill mannered, as it is presented as cute, funny and entertaining', which I believe it is not.
Second, it is an "all you can eat" meal, that is NOT a buffet. That said, if you order seconds, expect to wait a while (a good 10 minutes) before receiving it.
Third, in my opinion, considering atmosphere, service, and quality I believe it is expensive. If you are willing to take a short boat ride over to Fort Wilderness's Trails End Buffet, it is a far better value for the money (and you help yourself to seconds which is far quicker).
Money isn't my only concern when I rate a resteraunt, and I DO give HIGH points to Artist Point. Yes it is pricey, but excellent service, great atmosphere, and the food and presentation of it is impeccable.
In summary, we walked away from Whispering Canyon with a $90 dolar bill and felt very disappointed. When we got home we received a post card asking us to go on line and fill out a survey. We expressed a similar opinion on Whispering Canyon on the survey too.
