VWL Purchase/Stay Questions???

Is VWL already sold out except for resale???

If it is sold out, how hard is it to get 1BR in the summer at the 7 month window???

I have a friend who just got back from WL and is interested in possibly purchasing DVC but loves WL....any helpful info would be great! Thanks!

If your friend really loves VWL and would want to stay there most of the time, he should buy a VWL resale. Once the sale closes, he will be treated the same as any other DVC member whose home resort is VWL - it doesn't matter when he bought in or if he bought directly from Disney or bought resale.

Since his home resort will be VWL, he can book his 1 bedroom at the 11 month window. He won't have any problem getting his preferred dates and room size at the 11 month window.

Sorry, I don't know how difficult it is to book a one bedroom at VWL in the summer. But of course, one only has to worry about that if VWL isn't his home resort

Forgot to mention that VWL is not available to new members through Disney. There are some points still available for add ons, though. I'm not sure if all use years are still available or not.

The only way for a new member to purchase VWL would be through a resale.

We own at OKW with only a small add-on at VWL. We made reservations at 11 months at OKW for late June, and transferred the reservation at the 7 month window to VWL with no problem.
