Vwl or jambo for 1 night before bwv?

Adding one night b4 BWV vaca. Vwl and jambo are available. I'm traveling with a 3 and 4 year old. I'm torn bc with vwl I have nice access to MK and jambo has all the animals that they would love! Not to mention the wonderful restaurants at jambo and kidani. I've never stayed at a MK resort yet as an owner. Help? Any suggestions?

We own at VWL and love how small it is and the close proximity to almost everything. My kids (9, 6, 2) love the boats, geyser, the train over in the lounge, the water in the lobby, and whispering canyon. We have visited akl with them in the afternoon and while they liked it, when we ask where they want to stay, they would prefer VWL. I personally like jambo and have stayed there in DVC with savannah view. The halls are long but I do feel like it was very relaxing, just took a long time to get places. Would definitely stay there again but not with savannah view when the weather is colder. We rarely saw any animals. The pool is zero entry which is great compared to vwl.

With kids that age, I would probably stay at VWL for access to MK. Depending on the timing of your travel day, that may make it easier to get to MK for a few hours on your arrival day. Plus, it may save you a few points, if you need to conserve any for another trip. It may be nice to try out VWL to see if it is a place you would want to stay at for a longer stay in the future.

Personally, I would try a WL for BWV, just so I would not have to move. It's only one day, so you have a good chance of having it come through.

Personally, I try to avoid resorts that are being reimagined, refurbished or renovated. I would suggest AKV - Jambo.
