Vwl Or Bcv

We have been planning our upcoming trip to OKW in a GV for quite awhile. Now 2 weeks out nobody is able to go except my DH and myself,this really makes me mad at my family .So we are stuck with having to decide where to stay and try to use our points cause we are not going back before the end of our use year.So my question is where should we stay? BCV, we have never stayed there and it is one of our home resorts(1 Bedroom),the VWL we have stayed there and it is our other home resort(1 Bedroom)we loved the VWL and it is hard for us to stay anywhere else.So if you have stayed at both which would you choose and why?

VWL wouldn't be bad, either.

Do you have any PS's or activities scheduled that would be easier to get to from a particular resort?

I voted BCV because you have not stayed there before. The convenience of walking to EPCOT makes it worthwhile. Plus, you'll enjoy Stormalongbay.

But, availability at this late date may be an issue for any resort.

I'm sorry your families plans changed so close to departure. That really complicates things and limits your options.

I voted BCV since you've never been there and it will be hot enough to still enjoy the pool there.

We own at BCV but have stayed at BCV, VWL and VB. It's our goal to stay at all of them eventually. This December we are going back to VWL though. DH loved it there and we would like to see the lobby decorated for the holidays.

BCV though fall of 2004 for us!

I voted for VWL because it's my favorite too! That said... BCV would be also good choice pick! How's that for a firm answer. LOL

Even better... Why not do them both, assuming you can get a reservation at this late date. In fact, availability might decide the point anyway.

With 61 days to WDW it looks like it is a Food and Wine Trip so BCV's is my vote.

How long are you going for? I'd recommend staying at both resorts, if possible, then it seems like 2 vacations. While you're staying at VWL, don't go to Epcot or MGM-just MK and AK. While at BCV, do the other 2 parks. But if you don't want to change resorts, I've stayed at both of those and love BCV best.

I voted BCV because:

1. You have not stayed there yet.
2. It will be still hot, so you will really enjoy SAB.

We stayed at VWL last November for our first stay and loved it. We stayed at BCV in May of this year and loved SAB. We also liked walking over to Epcot and watching the fireworks and not fighting the crowds.

Ditto. Another vote for BCV. You haven't stayed at BCV before, it is your home resort and cannot pool hop to SAB.
Sorry to hear about your family canceling at the last minute. DW is planning a mini family reunion at VWL (if we get the villas at 7months) next summer and we are "buying". Have not tried this before and afraid of the same thing happening to us at the last moment. We really hope you get to enjoy your stay wherever you end up.

Thanks everyone.I think that we are going to go with BCV .I have called this morning and there is availibility at all the resorts for my time period and they even had standard view at BWV availible.
Yes my family just let me know that they wer not going to be able to go. .Thanks again.

Well i just called and made our reservation for BCV in a 1 bedroom for just my DH and I. I cant wait to see the 1 bedroom at BCV,this is only our 3rd trip as DVC members we have been in a 2 bedroom at OKW and a studio at VWL.We loved both of the resots that we have stayed at and i know we will love the BCV.We will be at BCV from the 6-13th of September.

Well, I was a reckless voter. I voted without reading the Q. I voted for VWL, but after reading the Q, I think you should try BCV. I am not sure why, as I choose to repeatedly stay at VWL, it just seems like a good thing to do.

I voted for BCV for something different. You will be happy either way though. BCV is one of your homes too, you should @ least try it once!

I am very excited about our stay at BCV and can hardly wait tillSeptember 6th .We were really wanting to stay in the OKW GV but this is the 2nd time that this has happened to us and it will be the last ,because we will not be asking them to come with us again.

Misty...It might sound weird but I find myself getting angry at your family and others who have guests that do this too! And they'll probably forever be confused as to why their last minute cancellations are a "big deal" and they aren't invited in the future.
