My DW and I will be taking our first trip to VWL next month. Just the two of us, the kids are staryin home with Grandma and Gramdpa. What is there to do there? We have always stayed at BWV or BCV. Also, we like to be as close to the WL as possible. What room requests would you make to accomplish this? As always, THANKS!!!!!

Hi Kid@heart-

DBF and I will be making our 13th trip to WDW in 11 years next month and we will be staying at VWL for the first time also. I am no "expert" but I can tell you what we are looking forward to-

renting bikes and riding from VWL to Fort Wilderness to do some exploring.

dinner at either Artist Point or Whispering Canyon or both.

renting a water sprite and exploring Seven Seas Lagoon.

Watching the Electrical Water Pageant from the Beach in the evening.(hey does anyone know if they still have this? I know we've seen it from the Poly, but that was a few years ago, and I just assumed they still have it)

and sitting in the hot tub (although I know you can do that anywhere)

Sorry I can't help with room location, but I'm sure someone else here can!:)

If you are there any time between 1/21 through 1/31 look for me! I'll be the one grinning from ear to ear at the sheer pleasure of being away from work and in Disney World!:bounce:

Of all of the resorts, VWL/WL is the most compact. It's not that far from the main bldg to the villas. I wouldn't be overly concerned about that.

Yes, they still have the Electric Water Pageant. They also have two complimentary lodge tours that you can take.

The Sturdy Branches Health club is in the villas section. How about scheduling a massage during your stay?

I'm sure that you'll find lots of enjoyment in the atmosphere alone.

:D :D :D
