Hi everyone!

Our waitlist for a 2 bedroom dedicated villa at VWL just came through today. My question is ... does the 2nd bedroom have 2 queen beds or 1 queen and 1 pull out sofa?

Thanks! :thumbsup2

We've stayed in the 2 bedroom at the VWL (our home resort) twice, and they have a king bed in the master, and two gueen beds in the second bedroom. The sofa is a sleeper if you need it.

We're going back in December and have a 2 bedroom reserved also.

Have a great trip.

The key word is "dedicated". If it says that on the reservation, you should get two queen beds in the second bedroom.

If it said lock-off you would get a studio for the second bedroom with a queen and a sleeper/sofa along with the kitchenette.

Check your confirmation when it comes. If it doesn't say dedicated, you might not get the two queen beds.

Thank you for the info. That's what I was hoping for. :wave2:

Granny, what else is different in a "dedicated" two bedroom? I have a confirmation with "dedicated" on it for our stay a VWL in Nov. Want to let me DB and DSIL know what to expect. Although I don't think they care! We're all just excited to be taking their grandbaby to WDW for the first time!
BTW, she is staying with her parents in a 1 bdroom!

To understand a "dedicated" as opposed to a "lockoff" you have to do the following. Think of a "dedicated" as a 2 bedroom apartment. It will have one entrance and both rooms will empty into the living room area. You would also have one kitchen area.

Think of a "lockoff" as a 1 bedroom apartment plus a studio apartment next to it, with a connecting door between the units. As a studio, you will have a frig and microwave combo while the 1 bedroom will have the large kitchen. ALso with a lockoff, you will have two entrances while the dedicated would only have one.

SOme people like the lockoffs cause they have their own entrance and privacy, while some like the familiness of the dedicated...each to his/her own.

My apologies for hijacking this thread but what Granny posted has me a bit worried. For our trip in december we booked a 2-bedroom lockoff. I told the cm at member services that we had to have this unit be a lockoff as it is two different families and they do not want to share one villa. She told me that by using points only to book this we will be guaranteed a lockoff. However when the confirmation arrived it just said "2 bedroom" nothing more. Can this mean when check in we may not have a guaranteed lockoff as we were told? Thanks for any help.
