Hi! This may be a silly question, but do all the rooms have a balcony? We are renting points for the 1st time and rented a studio for 1/06. I originally thought so, but just wanted to check with you all. Also, in your opinion, is there a better area/view that you favor? I know I probably won't have a say when we check in, but just in case.... you never know!! I did request ns, near elevator, waterview, and a higher floor. :teeth: We have 2 children, so laundry will be happening, as well as swimming, and restaurants!!
Thanks!!! :lovestruc

While I have never stayed at VWL, I understand there is one studio there that does not have a balcony...I think I read that here.

Yes, I believe Chuck is correct.
In addition, be careful of some upper floor villas, as a few have enclosed balconies. The rail is a solid wall that comes up to your chest, so when sitting it's unpleasant.
This is because of the design of the building. :drinking:

There aren't many rooms with a waterview, so that might be the only iffy think about your requests. Good luck and enjoy your stay. It's a beautiful resort.
I think the laundry is on the first floor, but I'm not really sure. I've only stayed in one bedrooms at VWL.

:confused3 #4533 NO BALCONY :listen:

1 studio does not have a balcony at VWL. I know because these boards warned me of it in 2002 when we joined BWV but stayed at VWL. I had it listed on my comformation sheet to not accept. GUESS WHAT? We check in and the CM had a room for us ready ( the no balcony room). I ask if it had a balcony and she(CM) checked and said no and she didn't even know it had none. I said we would wait for another room and the magic appeared. We got a corner room studio that was a little bigger then normal. great resort you will love it :jumping1:

ROOM # 4533 HAS NO BALCONY
ROOM # 3560 DUMPSTER VIEW BUT NO PROBLEM
ROOM # 3563 ( WE HAD )CORNER ROOM END OF HALLWAY ACROSS FROM #3560

IMHO I would rather have the dumpster than no balcony
room #4533 should be put into CRO allottment of rooms

Thanks everyone!! To quote someone from another post, any room in disney is a good room!!!

Maybe any room at Disney is a good room if you are renting. If you own outright and booked your home resort at 9 AM 11 months out a "no balcony" room is a no go room!
