VWL at 7 months?

We're planning a trip next December 5-12 and hoping for a split stay between our home at BLT and a couple days at VWL. We would like a studio, and yes we are going to book our BLT trip in two parts for the whole week and then try to switch one of the parts over to VWL at 7 months. So what are our chances of snagging a studio for early December at 7 months out?

Difficult but you never know when looking only for two nights and wait list is a possibility. For Dec 6-13, 2014 (the Sat to Sat like Dec 5 to 12 will be next year), VWL studios were gone for the entire week before the 7 month window opened on May 6, 2014.
