To be honest - Virgin were great.
We will get the standard £50 each compensation via our insurance - so that is £200.
In addition my husband and I have both got an additional 20,000 airmiles each as a goodwill gesture (12500 adult + 7500 a child each). With the points from the flight itself we actually have enough for a return trip to New York each! (minus kids)
