Vow renewal

My husband and I are looking to renew our vows. We haven't quite decided when yet, but we're having fun looking and planning! We are looking at the Memories Collection but we're a bit stumped when it comes to the locations - they all look so amazing! If it's okay I've got a few (okay, tons) of questions:

Does anyone here have any experience with this package and the locations?

Could I ask where you had your ceremony and was the location all you hoped?

Also, what does the actual renewal ceremony entail?

Did anyone on here opt out of the limo and have the in room romance in place of it? What was that like?

Do you still get a co-ordinator as it's a renewal and not a wedding?

Any feedback from anyone who has already had a vow renewal would be fantastic, thanks very much

I can only answer one question. The only difference between a vow renewal and a wedding as far as Disney is concerned is that the wedding requires a marriage license. Otherwise, everything else is the same, so you should still get a coordinator.

You will have a wedding planner and your ceremony is what you make it! We booked Rev. Kevin Knox and he sent us several ceremonies to choose from and customize so we already know what our ceremony will entail. We're also adding a sand ceremony that will include our kids.

I've been out on this terrace at Wilderness Lodge before when we stayed at the Lodge and am very much looking forward to our ceremony there. You just have to pick the location that fits your style!

Does anyone here have any experience with this package and the locations?

I haven't had my VR yet, but we have booked the Memories Package at Luau Beach at the Poly for this August. When talking to my planner and hearing him describe being on the beach with the castle in the background, I knew I made the right choice.

Could I ask where you had your ceremony and was the location all you hoped?

I haven't had it yet, but it will be at Luau Beach at the Poly.

Also, what does the actual renewal ceremony entail?

The ceremony can vary depending on your officiant. I have hired Rev. Kevin Knox and am working with him to develop the perfect ceremony. Since it is a vow renewal, my planner said that we don't even need an officiant- we could have a friend do a little ceremony instead.

Did anyone on here opt out of the limo and have the in room romance in place of it? What was that like?

Since we are staying at the Poly as well, I have opted out of the limo and chosen the in room package. It won't be all that romantic since we will have our kids with us, but at least you get to keep the stuff they give you.

Do you still get a co-ordinator as it's a renewal and not a wedding?

Yes. My coordinator is Danny and he has been fabulous. The communication is great, and while there isn't much to plan, he has always been more than happy to answer any questions I have
