Vow Renewal

MY HUSBAND AND I CELEBRATED OUR 6YR ANNIVERSARY ON SUNDAY. HE TOLD ME THAT HE WOULD LIKE TO RENEW OUR VOWS NEXT YEAR...AT DISNEY!! I AM SO EXCITED! I WENT ONLINE AND ORDERED THE WISHES CATALOG...WHICH IS WHAT IT RECCOMENDS YOU TO DO.
HAS ANYONE DONE A VOW RENEWAL AT DISNEY? WE WOULD ONLY WANT 8 (TOPS) ADULT GUESTS IT WILL PROBABLY END UP BEING LESS...AND THEN OUR 2 BOYS TO BE THERE. I AM TRYING TO FIGURE OUT IF THERE IS A REASONABLE WAY TO GO ABOUT PLANNING FOR THIS? ANY TIPS, THINGS YOU WISH YOU WOULD HAVE DONE, DONE DIFFERENTLY, ETC?

Congratulations!
We had our vow renewal in March 2005 (10th anniversary) and the whole family had a blast. There is no difference between the way Disney handles weddings and vow renewals in regards of minimums, options, etc. If you're going to have less than 8 guests, then you should contact Fairy tale weddings and ask for more information about the "Intimate package".
We had a custom vow renewal so I can't really tell you how it works with "Intimate vow renewals". Good luck and congratulations once again!

We are having our VR at WDW in June. Our planning has been just the same as a wedding. We are just changing things from a "regular" wedding to suit our needs i.e. we aren't doing a regular "service", but reciting our new "vows" to each other, we won't exchange rings, no garter, bridal bouquet throw, but otherwise pretty much the same. We have a photographer, videographer, a reception, I'm wearing a wedding dress (no veil though), we're having a welcome dinner and Illuminations dessert party, etc.

The only real difference for us is the reason for the event. It is a celebration of our successful marriage and friendship as opposed to a new beginning.

We are having a custom VR although we only have 15 guests, however, an intimate is a wonderful way to celebrate. We considered it, but we wanted something a little extra special for our 25/10 (25 years of friendship/10 years of marriage). In the future we plan on celebrating our marriage each 5 years, but will go with an Intimate VR in the future.

One great thing for us is to have our son involved in the event which makes it extra special. And our family and friends who were with us all those years ago will be there to celebrate again.
