Hello all........I was just wondering if I could get some advice and/or tips from anyone who has ever done a vow renewal at Disney. Now my wife and I are not looking to do anything special or big, just a simple vow renewal with maybe a photographer and hair+makeup. It will only be me and her with our two kids, ages 7 and 5. What sort of things should we look into to keep costs down? We are going to Disney for a week in March 2017, would it be better to try to book a return vow renewal trip while I am there? Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

If you're planning to go through DFTW then you'll be looking at the Memories pkg. DFTW doesn't really do much onsite booking but you could check out the locations in person to help you pick while you're there. They just went to seasonal pricing for all of their packages so maybe check the thread to see when you're planning to book and what the cost would be. It can definitely be worthwhile to change your timeframe to save some money.

If you decide not to book an actual vow renewal ceremony through Disney ($2,500 Jan-Apr + July-Aug or $4,500 May-June or Sept-Dec), you may be interested in just doing a photo shoot and/or a private event like a dessert party, fireworks cruise or meal at the Grand Floridian. This fellow did a surprise anniversary shoot and private dinner for his wife for their anniversary: http://disneyweddingpodcast.com/2015/01/21/anniversary-spotlight-samantha-mike/

I have complete details on planning a non-wedding private event here: http://disneytravelbabble.com/how-to/private-party/
