Wondering if I should look into getting these for our trip. I know I can not buy for a while since we don't go till 2005.

But it is only me (37) and DS (14) at time of trip. Would it be worth it for us?

TIA

Don't you just hate that answer? ;)

In our case, what I did was go to wdwig.com and look at the menus to figure out where we would be eating each day. My Prince Charming husband has been known to be royally picky about his food and he has passed this wonderful trait on to our sons!

Once I had an idea where we were eating, I went back to the FAQs on vouchers and figured out where they were good at. THEN I went back to the restaurants that we would eat at and looked closer at the menu to see if the cost would cover it.

It ends up for us, that I will be buying a few vouchers, but over all they weren't all that useful for us.

I agree with the "it depends", just keep in mind that the vouchers include tax. They seem to be a good deal at the resort food courts, Beaches and Cream, and a few other places. I have spent hours looking at menus and prices and found that we save or break even at most places.
Have you looked into the VKL vouchers for the sit down resturants? They are a good deal at several places and a nice treat.

I think its worth it to use Q&C vouchers at a couple of places like Beaches & Cream and Pepper Market. The vacation kingdom lunch vouchers are only a good deal to me if you are going to share a meal. You might take a few with you to have a few prepaid lunches at a decent price.

The vacation kingdom lunch vouchers are only a good deal to me if you are going to share a meal.....

or if you are going to eat dessert at counter service restaurants.

If you and your son will each get a burger - drink water you hauled into the parks - vouchers will not be cost effective. If you will each get a burger and fries and pop and dessert, you'll save a few bucks. If you go to the non-burger counter service places and have an entree, a drink, a side and dessert - you could do quite well.

I am sure we will carry a few water bottles. But DS does not like to carry stuff and I AM NOT getting loaded down.

I think I am going to do a few vouchers. And see how we do. I guess I am glad I have 17 months to do my research!

Does anyone know if I can use the Vouchers at the Coral Reef. I know DS is going to want to eat there.

I did not find anything that we could use at Coral Reef. If you come up with something, please let me know! That is the only place that I requested as my "Must Do". I love that restaurant even though I know some people have had questionable experiences there.

You should be able to use Kingdom LUNCH vouchers at Coral Reef, but they are expensive ($30 or something).

Quick and casual (the $11.50 ones) are for counter service places (and B&C, which isn't really counter service)
