I was always one of those people that thought I could never get the value out of Q&C Vouchers. Now this trip since I am staying onsite for 14 days I thought I would look into them again. Mainly I am thinking dinner at POP I will at least break even and in most cases come out ahead....however I may end up with more food then I would have ordered so did I save.

In checking it out from all angles I decided a few wouldn't be bad, if used wisely and it would kind of be like prepaying for part of my trip.

Then of course the big question...how does a Canadian get their hands on some? And how much is too much to pay. If you are lucky enough to get an American dis'er to help you out that's great, but if you can't and have to go ebay or another source--how much would you pay?

What is the maximum you would pay for a Q&C Voucher? What about a VKL voucher? The VKL I already plan on using at Rainforest and I know I can get the value of that one back no problem.

When you buy them from another dis'r they usually only want what they paid plus postage which I think is fair. If used in the parks you usually come out even to a savings of up to a couple of bucks. At pepper market the savings are great, and at beaches and cream with those great sundaes you save quite a bit also. I also think they are worth it when used at a resort food court. With all that said my highest for a Q&C would be $12 and for a VKL it would be $35 if you are using it at RFC.

I feel about the same....VKL I paid $35 incl shipping and plan on my ds (8) and I sharing by ordering the chicken fingers as my appetizer. I know I will save money with this one.

The Q&C I have been watching on ebay and have not yet been able to get something close to $12 at $15 or $16 you really can't justify any savings. I would perhaps get a couple at $15 to use at Pepper Market and Beaches and Cream because I haven't eaten at these places....but that's about it!

tmli - did you check your private messages? When we were posting on the budget board how to get these we all got a private message from a wonderful diser that has offered to get them for us. I just checked with her and she said she PM'd you but didn't hear back yet. That would be the best way to go I think.

I need alot so I am thinking I will have to use more than one source. There are 11 of us going for my sisters wedding and some of us are staying 2 weeks. So I am exploring all my options. I did hear from one helpful dis'er and I will be able to get some that way.

Well you would think if you have 11 going for your sisters wedding that would constitute a group. I know you talked to the group department already but you must find this as frustrating as I do. Here we are willing to buy in bulk but they are all choosy about who they will sell them to. Good luck with your search. I think I have found my source - a friend (American) who will join Hotwire for us when our dates get closer and do the ordering.

I managed to bid on some on eBay for about $12.5 each. I like that I have a couple of meals pre-paid but I don't think I would bid on any vouchers that would go for more than $13. I'm trying to convince some of my friends who live in the US to join Hotwire so that I can get some breakfast and VKL vouchers ... not having much luck with that though...

I also find this frustrating. We are going in March 2005 and I always try to have as much as possible prepaid. For instance, when friends are driving/flying to the US we give them USD and they will buy Red Lobster gift cards (use them at Bahama Breeze and Olive Garden), or McD's gift certificates for us. I wish there were some way that us Canadian's could take advantage of the vouchers.

I know that ebay is often over priced for the vouchers, but even if I was willing to pay, there aren't too many ebayers that ship to Canada. :(

Sometimes if you send the sellers an e-mail, they will ship to Canada. I think most of them don't realize it's not too much more expensive to ship to us :)

Now is is my type of discussion.

I found, the easiest, to have a friend in the US join for me and order the vouchers for me. If they (your US friend) allows you to buy your full amount of vouchers allowed which is 40. Then you could be that wonderful DISer that sells the Canadians vouchers!

I have applied for a US credit card, and I have use of a US postal office box that I can make shipments to. I won' know until Aug. if that process is going to work for me or not but if it does I'll post letting you know, if I can sell any to you all.

Re: total willing to paid, I agree with hockeymom:wave2: , at $12.00 you're only just breaking even at POP. $35.00 for RFC- VKL is good too.

Hotwire or Connections did tell me on the phone that they did have Canadian groups with savings cards (but they didn't include WDW stuff) but he didn't tell me what program name, they were called by in Canada.......when he said "no WDW stuff" I stopped listening:rolleyes: of course.

:cheer2: I'm rooting for you Wendy! :cheer2:

I have had little luck in convincing friends to join Hotwire :(

I have my fingers crossed that you can do this, MaMudduck. Please keep us posted:Pinkbounc

I have no friends or family in the US--how sad is that? I managed to get 10 from a diser, but I still need 20 more. I have some time so I'll see. I have gotten all 6 of my VKL vouchers averaging $34 each. I'll keep with it--surely I'll find someone willing to get me the other 20. I'm also watching ebay religiously--just in case some come through at a not bad price.
