(I posted this on Disney Restaurants, and didn't get much of a reply, but I'm thinking THIS is the place for this question...)

Hi, all! Well, the trip is almost here, and I'm interested in any and all info you have on using the Q&C vouchers in the parks. I've read lot of info on Beaches and Cream, Pepper Market, and using VKL at RFC, I know all about the great deal the meal vouchers are at AK - what I'm looking for is personal stories about using the Q&C vouchers at counter service places IN the parks.

Tell you stories, my friends! Impress us all with what good deals you got, or tell us all about how difficult it was to use them! Good or bad, we want it all!

In MK:

We used a Q&C at Columbia Harbor House:
Capt. Special - fish and chicken strips with fries $6.79
Drink $1.99
Apple Pie $3.79
Total $12.57 plus tax

In EPCOT:

We used a Q&C at Lotus Blossom Cafe:
Twice Cooked beef $6.59
Fried rice (as the side item) $3.99
Fruit cup (as the dessert) $2.99
LARGE coke $2.29
Total $15.88 + tax
This fed both DH and I. The kids ate the fruit as a snack.

We used a VKL at Alfredos:

Adult voucher:
Pizza appetizer ($9.95)
Trio Pasta ($18.95)
Coppa Fraola (mascapone cheese dessert) $6.00
Coke (1.99)
Total $36.89 plus tax and tip

Kid Voucher:
Pizza appetizer ($9.95) - off the adult menu
Child Spaghetti with meatballs ($5.99)
Chocolate mousse dessert ($6.50) - off the adult menu
Kids Cappucinno (hot chocolate with whip cream) - $2.75)
Total $25.19 plus tax and tip

This meal fed 4 of us (me, DH, DD12 and DD9). I ate one of the pizza appetizers for my meal. DD12 ate the other pizza for her meal. DD9 ate the kids spaghetti and DH ate the adult entree. We shared the 2 desserts. Actually I couldn't eat any because I was full. DH did order a perroni beer which we paid cash for plus DD12 ordered a coke which we paid cash for.

We also used VKL at RFC (one adult and one kid) and shared this amongst the 4 of us. We used 2 Q&C at Pepper Market. We used 2 Q&C at Beaches and Cream. But you already said you knew about those places.

We purchase enough for the meals that we know we will eat (like B&C and Pepper Market) because we like it there. Plus any other place we want to try and where the vouchers would be a good deal. For all other meals we just pay cash. Mostly I share an entree with one of the girls and DH will get his own and then we get one kids meal.

Just today I used the voucher at pizza planet. Don't remember exact pricing but had junkyard meal deal (salad and veggie pizza), lg diet coke and mickey rice krispie treat....total was $14.37.

Yesterday used one at pinnochio haus in Mk and got dbl cheeseburger with bacon, lg diet coke, choc. shake as dessert, total was 13.85....bought extra bun for ds at .85, he had burger, shake we shared fries.

RFC was an amazing value for the vkl....we had near $80 worth of food incl tax and tip for the cost of the voucher.

Here at POP at least half of the workers are counting my ds's kids meal as my side. Giving me almost $20 worth of food for the voucher. I always explain the kids meal is not a side, but the computer lets them do it so they do!

They have been very easy to use.

This is great! Keep 'em coming, folks - anyone there recently, especially (as you can imagine, I've done a search on this board for 'Q&C' and 'voucher', so all you wonderful DIS'ers who have posted in the past, thanks so much for your sharing!)

I don't remember the prices but DH & I used ours @ Pepper Market and had

Strip Steak (I think goes for something like 18.99)
I had Fries, he had mashed potatoes
We got vegetable, a brownie & cake as our deserts (we gave these to the girls who ate off the childrens menu)

An we got lge sodas.

I was quite a savings, and the food was delicious.

We find the Q&C vouchers to be a good deal at Tangerine Cafe in Epcot...We had close to $17 of food and it tastes sooo good.

I can't remember exactly what we ate but we use them often at counter service in MK and I'm always amazed at how much we've saved. Bill is usually $17 - $20 or more. DD and I will use one voucher and share the meal. That doubles the value to me. We wouldn't normally purchase a dessert but do with the vouchers. I've never, ever had a problem using them. And if I place an order and don't order everything I'm entitled to with the voucher the CM will often remind me that I can get something else (like dessert) because it's included. My problem is that I'll end up with several left over at the end of the trip because we share some counter service meals and don't use as many. This year I only got 8 vouchers for our trip 11/21 - 11/27 and intend to use them all. I also intend to go to Beaches & Cream for the first time. I also have vouchers for our character breakfast at a great price on e-bay. Just lucked up on a good deal.

We just got back from Pop a week ago and used a voucher two times. They didn't let us get the kid's meals as a side. Both cashiers told us a salad, so that's what we got. We saved about $3-5.00 with them, they would also only let us have a soda (we already had the mugs) no bottled drinks.
