are you a registered voter? have you ever voted?

i turned 18 in october. when i went to the dmv a few weeks later to renew my license i registered to vote. i got my card in the mail today.

so are you registered?

i believe so. the papers i filled out asked if i would be "18 on or before the next election" so i think you could even have your 18th birthday that day and vote. my 18th wasn't really close to any election though, so i was lazy about registering.

PR doesn't get a vote, but they can vote for the parties' candidates for president.

Well when we turned 18, we didn't have to renew our license. We did get put into the jury pool though.

I still have mine from when I got it at age 16.

this is what tennessee drivers licenses look like, when they're unrestricted (over 18) and this is them before you turn 18

all the info gets flipped, so when someone just glances at your card they can tell if you're underage or not.

so i updated it when i turned 18.

I'm not yet registered to vote quite yet. I did turn 18 back in June though, so I need to go and get my licence sometime soon, and get registered to be able to vote.

My state does something similiar, except under 21 all the info is vertical, and over 21 it's horizontal.

we have a red stripe next to our picture that says "UNDER 21 UNTIL __-___-___" and then after 21 they take it away, and it looks like the lady's picture in the first license.

its illegal not to vote in australia once you are 18. unless you're not an australian citizen. i'm 19 now but i haven't voted yet. the last election was when i was 17 i think. but i'll have to vote in the next one.

You can vote in the primaries of a presidential election when you are 17 as long as you will be 18 by the general election in November.

They only get to vote in the Democratic primary in PR but it doesn't count. They get no electoral votes in the presidential election.
