My sister and I have decided to do a signature dining meal when we return to Disney World in September 2010 (I know we're early with but we're excited).

Which restaurant do you think we should try and why?

Citrico's is fabulous! My hubby and I went in May as our 'Parents Night Out'. We did the wine pairing with the meal and thoroughly enjoyed it.

I also hear Jiko's is quite nice. That's on our list for the next trip.

I voted Narcoossee's as it's the only signature restaurant that I have been to. If you like lobster and cheesecake then this is the place. The almond crusted cheesecake is soooooo good.

Flying Fish is my favorite, followed by Citricos in second and Jiko would be 3rd.

All five listed for consideration are great. :thumbsup2 You will have a nice experience with any of them, but to pick one it would have to be Narcoossee's - nice atmosphere, great food, oh and the bread. They have, IMO, the best bread and butter. It's sourdough bread and the butter you get is unsalted so they put coarse Hawaiian sea salt on top of it. It's the best! :worship:
If you go around the time of Wishes you can go outside with the beverage of your choice and watch. They pipe in the music. Good luck picking!

Jiko was one of the best meals we have ever eaten, but to be honest, I would say look at the menus and see which type of food [not specific food items, but the type of food] appeals to you. Look at the food porn thread and see what restaurant interiors seem most like what you're looking for.

If you are using DDP then Jiko.

However, if not on DDP then Bistro de Paris upstairs in the France Pavilion or for a meal beyond belief Victoria and Albert's. Neither of these restaurants accept DDP.

I've been to all of them (and then some) and it really depends on what you are looking for....
IMHO:
The Very Best:
Victoria & Albert's or Bistro de Paris (OP's opinion is also correct - the reverse order is fine - remember "Empress Lily" ?)
For Steak:
Yachtman's Steakhouse
For Fish:
Flying Fish Cafe' or Citrico's
For Eclectic:
California Grill or Narcoossee's
For Quiet & Relaxing:
Artist's Point
And for Something Different:
Jiko
If you don't mind spending the bucks - the first two are great - but the menu for both is "limited"... so be sure you know what you are getting yourself into.... If you are looking for a great place with super atmosphere and a diverse menu... it's gotta' be Callifornia Grill or Narcoossee's... if everyone has a sense of adventure, try Jiko.

We found Cali Grill a bit overrated - the food is good, but the atmosphere is loud and bland. It isn't a fancy "looking" place at all and the draw of seeing the fireworks only exists once - after you'd done that you don't need to do it again (especially if you aren't near a window and everyone between you and the windows decides to stand up and block your view...)

Jiko is fabulous. Best dining experience we've ever had (and I'm not adventurous at all).
