If I placed my order through Von's and used the "dummy" zip code with the numbers from my postal code followed by 2 zeros, and the order was confirmed, am I good? Or do they not run it through my card yet, and they may cancel on my delivery date?
You put that in the billing zip code spot? I have the address of the house we are out for delivery, but at the end when paying for order it asks for billing zip code, and I used the dummy one there
I am not Canadian but when we need to confirm addresses for Canadian cards we are told to get just the numbers followed by 00. I am pretty sure that is standard for billing in the US

You are good to go! The CC computers are programmed to see that you are an out of the US customer, and will accept the zip code created from your postal code (I work for a Cdn Bank). I suspect that Von's will not run it through your card until the delivery date.
Here is the link from the MC site for those that want to check...
Yes Visa and MasterCard are both the same method, first 3 are your postal code #'s and last 2 are zero's.
This was originally developed for Canadians that were trying to buy gas in the states, where the gas pumps ask for a zip code to allow you to purchase at the pump.
