Is anyone local that knows of a coupon code or discount for the delivery service fee for Von's Delivery Serivce? :flower3: I know that delivery is free for the first time customers. We used the delivery service on our last trip and LOVED it! I think the fee is $15 with a $50 minimum purchase for delivery and since we are only 2 people going I was trying to cut down the expense of that a little. If anyone has any info. or tips they could help me out with, I would so appreciate it! :-)

They have free delivery if you order certain items right now. That's what we usually do. Check the homepage and it should let you know. Otherwise the only codes I get are for free delivery on $150 order (which we usually hit that price anyway)

After the first free delivery, they usually only have free delivery if your entire order meets a certain dollar amount, and you order from a certain list of qualifying items. (Always read the fine print!) Occasionally they will send an email code for free delivery that doesn't require buying specific items, but you still have to order a certain dollar amount to get the free delivery. You're probably better off just paying the delivery fee, honestly.

Thank you for the replies! We'll just stick with the regular delivery fee. The first free delivery order we had was awesome as it also included several free items. The service is awesome and still saves a lot of money over time for water, snacks, fruit, etc. :flower3:

It's a fantastic service to have for those items you mentioned, as well as others that people might want or need on a multi-night trip. There are items that some people might not even think about, that they could want or need. Medicines, or shoe inserts! And treats -- for example, if someone in the group is celebrating a birthday or special occasion and you want to celebrate in the hotel room, you can order some of Vons' baked goods -- a full cake, full pie, or one of their fairly substantial pieces of cake, one of their 10-packs or 12-packs of cupcakes, etc. (it is a lot cheaper than ordering a full cake from Disney)! You can get flowers, alcohol, fully cooked items from the deli (like a full roasted chicken), etc. There are so many choices.

Sherry E, I agree~ it's a fantastic service. I looked up delivery last night and it's like a $17 and change delivery fee for orders under $150. (yikes!) I still feel it's worth it though to save a lot in the long run. It's not just a savings, but a convenience. We do the runDisney events and it's so much easier to have items in the room ready rather than searching food and drinks out at 3/4 in the morning. I think it's a great idea to keep it in mind for special items like you mentioned as well. :) And the service delivered to the hotel, before we even arrived, the hotel had it all together and refrigerated cold items. It could not have been easier!
