Volvo or Saab - Which Do You Prefer?

Here's a side-by-side comparison, if you're interested. :)

My neighbor has a Volvo that she has had for quite a few years and she loves it. It has been a good car for her, not given her a lot of trouble other than normal maintenance issues. I have known people who have bought Saabs and quickly traded them in because they didn't like them. Having never owned or driven either type of car, I have no personal experience to relay.

I LOVE my 1995 960 Volvo wagon (I know, I know -- typical soccer mom car . . . )

Very safe, reliable, dependable, no major mechanical problems at 86,000 miles now . . .

My only complaint is that it is a rear-wheel drive, and thus doesn't handle snow very well . . .

And by the way, the Volvo automotive division is now a part of Ford (Volvo in Sweden still makes their big rig trucks).

I have a Saab 9-3 convertible and survived what should have been a major accident without even a bruise in it! (The car I currently have is the replacement to the car in the accident, I survived car didn't!)

When replacing convertible #1 I went to Volvo and it was a good car, but... it was $4000 higher on list and Saab had 0.0% financing and 3 years scheduled maintenance. I have never had any trouble with either of my Saabs.
