I feel your pain. My son had this on his Christmas list - I searched everywhere for a good bargain. Nordstrom had some Volcoms in their clearance (last I checked online, and in stores though I'm sure that varies by your location). But... I ended up finding a similar one at Sears. My son cares about the style not the namebrand and when I showed it to him he liked it better than the Volcom one he wanted - my lucky day!!

The price has come down some since last week when I bought it, but the size selection is now very limited. Here's the link:

Yes, I saw the ones online at sears! They don't have the sizes I need for my 2 older boys, I am going to look in the store. I figure worst case scenario I get the sears one for my little guy and try to find some discount on the volcoms for the other 2. I also want to check kmart, they had them before Halloween, not sure if it was just seasonal. Thanks!

Quiksilver has a version of these as well, for sale on their website. Like another poster, my DS liked the non-volcom branded ones better. Maybe worth a look?

I bought my son a volcom one last year for $20. They had a bunch of different ones but I only bought one as I didn't know they would become such a hot item or what they normally cost. Now he wants another one but the cheapest I have seen them now is like $80 so that's a no. The store I bought the other one at is now gone.

They have more sizes at sears and a %15 percent code REALJOY!
I got one for each of my 3 DSs for $42 after the discount and some reward dollars I had from KMART. SO happy! I looked at the Volcom ones in a surf shop today and couldn't bring myself to spend that kind of money. My boys dont know the difference, like others have said they just like the style. love a good deal
