Volcano Pool at Poly?

I see alot written about the Volcano Pool at the Poly. Can someone elaborate on the theme, surroundings and what the pool area is like, as we plan to spend end of July in DW, not by choice but we are coming to FL for a reunion so why not stop at DW on the way home!!!!!

The pool is themed around a volcano with a mostly covered (sometimes too scary for little kids) slide that empties into a large, zero entry pool. The pool has a bubbling jets bench that is not heated, and thee is no hot tub at the resort. There is a children's fountain area right next to the pool, and the beach is directly across from the zero entry point. The pool has music piped into the pool, which allows you to hear it underwater. It also features the best view of any pool at disney. You can sit in the pool and watch the castle change colors at night.

And to just add to the previous post the pool has the best smell! When we sit in the pool we are surrounded by Gardenias that have the most wonderful aroma! The entire pool area is so beautiful with all the different flowers and trees. It is my favorite pool and resort. We spent more time at that pool then at the parks on our last trip. It was only 3 weeks ago but I miss it already!! We aren't going back until October so have a great trip!

I'm sure this is true about all the pools in the summer, but when DH and I were there last Aug, the pool was sooo crowded all day.

The slide is fun, but like the other poster said, it can be scary for some little kids. Also, I noticed a lot of bigger kids roughousing around the slide area and not being safe. That said, *I* liked the slide. The pool is a lot of fun and was very refreshing after playing in the parks.
