We aren't huge water park fans, we aren't really into slides and stuff like that. We do love lazy rivers and just relaxing in the water.
Would Volcano Bay be worth it for us?

I do enjoy Blizzard Beach at WDW - we usually spend most of the time in the lazy river, we also love the lazy river at Discovery Cove.

We will be at Universal for 10-12 days on property between Dockside and Cabana Bay.

It's a cool water park, and you're there for quite a while, so if it comes with your ticket, I'd check it out. There is a true lazy river and more of a "rapids" type one.

I’d do it with a trip that long. I like VB first thing in the morning when the rivers are quiet. I’m not a slide person either but I like the fast river and the lazy river at VB and enjoy the beautiful atmosphere. I clear out by early afternoon as the rivers get too crowded for me.

I'd say no, if you aren't going to do the slides & such. Unless you think it's worth the admission to check out the rapid river (which is super cool & fun!). As @PollyannaMom said, if it is included with your ticket then by all means check it out, it is gorgeous and the rapid river is fantastic fun. But otherwise, you have the lazy river right at CB & during the CB portion of your trip you can pool hop to any other hotel pools for relaxing in the water (you cannot pool hop from Dockside).

Whether it is worth it to you depends on what you are looking for. I enjoy VB so much I have a 3 park AP. I go in the morning to enjoy low crowds. The aqua coaster gets long lines so I ride it several times first thing. It uses cool magnetic technology to move the boats up the hills. I usually do the coaster, a few of the tube slides, the lazy rivers and wave pool. The music is very relaxing and I also get lunch and just chill with a rum punch.

I also pool hop to Portofino Bay, the quiet Villa pool is my favorite, although with the recent construction there maybe I will do Royal Pacific instead next trip.

Im also not a huge water park person and mainly enjoy the lazy river as well. Both of the rivers at Volcano Bay were really neat and worthwhile, however I had to leave fairly quickly as something in the water reacted badly when it got in my eyes. It was kind of a waste of ticket for me for that reason.

As a PP mentioned, Cabana Bay does have a lazy river. Unless you have a need to book a Volcano Bay ticket in advance, why not wait until you stay at Cabana to decide if the river there meets what you want, or if not, purchase the volcano bay ticket during your trip.
