Volcano Bay with a Scooter

Does anyone have experience with Volcano Bay and Scooters? My dad won't ride much, but wave pool, lazy rivers, he will. I've been there once, but was just thinking about where scooters would be left? Are there designated areas? Even just thinking about setting up in chairs, will be able to leave a scooter nearby?
