Interesting!

I'm a little confused as to why an on-site guest would want to drive over to the parking garage to park and ride the tram? And two levels of APs already get free parking...

me too Keisha. I was excited to see as it makes the water park closer to completion. I for one am looking forward to it. I like water parks.

It's adjacent to Cabana Bay (walkable) and that tunnel/path is right next to where the new hotel (Sapphire falls will be). Alternate way to get there would be taking the boat to Sapphire falls and walking.

Right. I was just wondering why OP expressed hope that there would be free parking for onsite guests and APs at the waterpark. Onsite guests wouldn't want to drive to the water park.... and I assume that APs who already get free parking at the garage would just park there and take the tram... So I was asking for clarification, I guess, regarding why the OP was concerned about parking for these two groups. That's all. :-)

Disagree, I certainly would prefer to hope in my own (rental) car and drive directly to the WP. Likely would stop for lunch somewhere & also pick up some snacks, drinks while outside the resort bubble while we're at it.:)

I do enough walking in the orlando parks over the course of a week or so. I don't want to walk over or wait for a tram. Not of fan of Disney's internal transport system, one of the reasons we enjoy Universal is everything used to be rather compact.

The lack of a shuttle or 'complimentary' parking for other onsite resort guests = we haven't used the lazy river at CB. CB is theoretically walkable, but not enjoyable imo in hot, humid Orlando weather. If they don't offer free parking for onsite or AP holders for the water park, will likely skip it too.
