Volcano Bay Opening June 1st, 2017

They are testing out a virtual queue/slide reservation system at Wet 'n Wild now. Each guest is given a wristband as they go through the turnstiles. If they want to go on a ride, they tap their wristband to a screen near the attraction and are given a return time.

Basically it is like the old FastPass system. Currently they are testing it with no stand-by lines, but I do not know how they will actually run it when it's at VB.

Express Pass is still available for purchase at WnW. I am unsure if VB will have Express Pass.

I have heard VB referred to as a "water theme park." Curious to see how it differs from other water parks in the area! And I haven't heard about any ticket or AP prices released yet.

I am also SO excited about the announcements! :)

I think your spot on. I've read that some of the concept art shows guests wearing wristbands. This and placing a cap on attendance certainly would help me justify paying more $$$. I can see myself floating in the lazy river or having a cocktail waiting for my next reservation for a slide/ride. This has the potential of blowing Typhoon and Blizzard out of the water(pun intended).

I've been debating vacation plans for next summer. My son really, really wants to go Legoland. I've read that it's a one-day park, so I thought I'd go there for the one day and then head to Disney for the rest of the week. but honestly, as much as I love Disney, I think I need to wait until they have new stuff up and running and not breaking down an hour after it's officially open. I'm looking at you, Frozen Ever After. So I thought maybe we'd go to universal instead. Seeing this pretty much clinches things. One day at legoland and then three or four days at universal depending on how they price it all out.

This place looks fun. Might be time for me to join a gym.

I like the idea but wonder if it'll create too much congestion in things like wave pool and lazy river since there won't really be many/any lines. Hopefully it'll work out and go smoothly. Plus there does seem to be a good amount of alternate places to go so they might be able to fan ppl out rather well.

In the video, it looked like there was a hotel almost inside the park? Unless that was a parking garage? It looked tall.

This looks awesome. Unfortunately, we're planning a late april trip so we will miss it

looks beautiful !

if anyone is into water parks, they will look forward to this.

all i do is look at the pictures on sites.
i stay away from water parks.

Mac we can go walk around in full dress with a drink so we can check it out and help people out. I'm not a fan of water parks either. I would imagine I'll do it once just to experience it and then never again. I rarely even get in the pool.

Good reason to plan a trip for next year LOL!
We need a reason to plan a trip? hmmm....

I am looking forward to this happening. Think it will be nice to have a water park on site. I'm not a huge fan of water parks, but this one looks pretty good.

I wasn't planning on another trip for awhile, but I just may need to get more aggressive with saving money and return for a "Universal Only" trip. This park looks awesome. Well.... except for that body plunge slide! :crazy2: :scared1:
