Why is it that when someone leaves me a message, they invariably race through their phone number? Of course, they always ramble on and on before they give their number, so I get to listen to the message multiple times to make sure that I have the number written down correctly. Heaven forbid that they'd leave their number slowly, or even twice. ACH!

I guess this is my pet peeve for the day.

That is a pet peeve of mine also. That is why I alwasy repeat my phone number twice, and I do it slowly each time. I wish other people would be as considerate. It's even worse when they leave this LONG drawn out message of really nothing and then fly through the phone number, you have to listen to that crap all over again.

I repeat my number twice slowly.
If I know the person that left the message when repling to it I congratulate them on finishing in the top of their class of the "Evelyn Wood's Speed Listening Class" Unfortunately I finshed in the bottom of the class.

Pet peeve of mine too. I leave my number (slowly) at the start of the message and then leave it again at the end of the message.

I give my number once at a normal pace, then once slowly again at the end. Or vice versa

our voicemail has a sort of a rewind and fast forward type thing, so if the person is rambling you can skip part, and if you miss the phone number you can go back a little and just hear the phone number, check it out, you guys might have that too.

I say my name and phone number once at the beginning of the message and twice at the end.
