Who knew!!

Tonight my BFF was over and she died her hair last night and had a halo of auburn color around her forehead that she could not get off. She went to work today like that and was pretty much freaking out because she is going out of town for the weekend.

Well I googled it and different products were recommended and 1 poster said VODKA! I reached in the cabinet, grabbed the bottle of Stoli and a cotton ball and I swear it came right off!:thumbsup2

I told her next time buy the cheap Vodka! She smells like the Vegas Strip, but it works!:lmao: I hope she makes it thru airport security in the morning;)

That's almost as scary as the time a boyfriend poured Coke over my battery terminals to get rid of the very thick, old corrosion so we could try to jump the car...it worked so fast and so well...terrifying!

Glad she got the dye off!

What a waste of good vodka:drinking1 :faint:

My mom uses ashes to remove the dye off skin. Just wet a cloth and dip in the ashes.

No need to waste vodka.

I wonder if that would work on my dishwasher. I dyed my DD's hair in the kitchen and managed to get it on the front of my dishwasher. . .and the cabinets. . .and the table. . .and the floor. . .:sad2:

And gosh...just imagine how bad it would have been if she had DYED her hair!!!!

LOL had to go there!!!! Tee Hee:lmao:

Try Bon Ami it's a powdered cleaner

Okay, just a thought - but maybe plain old rubbing alcohol would work just as well (on the skin)?

i have spots EVERYWHERE in my bathroom from the last time...i dunno WHAT happened...nothing takes it off...

Licker store, here i come!!

I knew this too!

I had a friend in high school who had just dyed his hair the first time my mom met him and had a little on his skin. My mom just said, you can take that right off with cigarette ashes. He was amazed and still thinks my mom is "cool" because of it. :upsidedow

Ooooo a new girls night out.... hair dying and vodka drinking..... :dance3:
I'll bring the vodka:woohoo:

Hairstylist here....use hairspray. Grab a cotton ball or cloth, douse it with hairspray and wipe. It's what 90% of stylists use.

If you drip on your clothes, soak the spot with hairspray, then wash....

haha a lot of original ideas, but as someone else mentioned rubbing alcohol will be the best for getting dye/permanent marker off of skin...just finished up several science graduate degrees...it's a shame to waste perfectly good vodka!

My skin just sucks up the dye--I always use rubbing alcohol. Have to rub a little, but works a lot better than the stuff in the salon that is supposed to take it off but doesn't.
