We too are sad to see VMK closing, but we are excited to continue to build and develop other new and exciting virtual worlds online! We have taken some of our favorite things from VMK and incorporated them into some of our other virtual worlds.

We hope you consider exploring Pirates of the Caribbean Online and Toontown Online, we think you might come to enjoy them as much as you enjoyed your VMK experience.

keep in mind the vmk employees seem to keep pointing out to not use contact us. They want you to write to Walt Disney Internet Group.

Your correct aengus. Many have also wrote to Contact Us. Not everyone knew how to write to Disney Internet Group. Lets hope they forward the messages they got from the people that wrote to VMK.

They're taking things from VMK and making a new cartoonish kind. But I want realistic..

Several hosts have said if you want to try to save vmk in any way, do not write to VMK. You want to write to Disney's Internet Group.

For some of the younger VMK'ers here:
VMK is not a company. It is a product. Writing to VMK is only going to go to staff that are assigned to supporting the product (VMK). We need to write to the people at Disney that have made this decision.

Several of those contacts are listed on other threads here. Write. Call. Every voice counts.

Um yeah. I'm sorry but those games are NOTHING like VMK, thus why everyone play VMK and not them (not just the pay to play aspect of it). I for one will not be checking out either as they are not of interest to me. Also note that they did not mention Club Penguin either so maybe that will go too. In any case I thought I would have calmed down by now and realized that Disney had a good reason for doing this...um nope hasn't happened!

It takes a lot to get me mad, sad and over a game?!?! (I'm not really an internet game person but this one got be addicted). I am SO upset with Disney not just because of VMK closing but because of all the lies that led up to this, the "false hope", the way they handled this situation and the people affected by this (us and hosts and programmers etc.) arg!

Funny, the lady I spoke to at Disney's Internet Group this morning told me I should not be contacting them, but write to VMK's contact us and use that "Why is VMK closing" option.

She said people would read the messages and that they are not going to a black hole. I don't know who to believe at this point. I am going to continue everyone to write to both places just to make sure the message gets to the right place.

With a situation like this, you contact everyone possible. A corporate decision has been made. We as consumers of a free service need to become loud enough that they are forced to pay attention and say, "Hmm.. maybe there's another choice."
