VMKer's Been To Cedar Point?

Just wondering if anyody has ever been there and you can post here if you may be going this summer... since i go every weekend in the summer since i get a pass.....

OMG I used to go to cedar point like every year when I was little. we used to drive down there and stay for a weekend and go there. I loved the magnum XL2000 but I never went on it because I was to little and we never really went back there since. But those are some good classic rides.

My DH used to live in Sandusky when he was young and went there all the time. Now we try to get there once a year. Top Thrill Dragster is pretty awesome, though the Millenium Force is still our favorite.

Yes the Top Thrill Dragster Is Pretty Awesome but you have to wait so long to ride it and its so short of a ride but i ride it every weekend.... but i still think Millenium Force Is The Best Ride ever made ever...

We go once a year. It is the best amusement park on the planet - and Millenium Force - WOW, what a ride !!

(WDW is the best theme park - but for roller coasters, nothing beats Cedar Point!)

OH YEAH!! I love that place! I have only been there once a couple years ago and rode EVERY coaster, (except for dragster, because they were still in the process of planing it! but we did see the track peices in a back lot before they had even announced what the ride was going to be!) I absolutely love thrills and Cedar Point has the most coasters! Its Wonderful! Millenium Force, was pretty amazing!

Have any of you ever stayed at the hotel that has a inside water park in it. It's somewhere in Sandusky near Cedar Point? We are thinking of staying there this summer.

I have family that lives near Cedar Point and we used to go all the time when we visited them. I think it was at Cedar Point that I experienced my first upside down roller coaster...of course, my eyes were closed!

Gosh! I used to go there every single summer. I haven't been there in a few years. I just can't wait until my son is old enough to go though.

Useful tip for those who have never been: It's best to go during the week, otherwise, the lines are RIDICULOUS!

Ok there was a Great Bear lodge and is now changed to Great Wolf Lodge... and it is a indoor water park and hotel....

Also Cedar POint Has There own indoor water park and hotel called Castaway Bay... This also has a little water ride that shoots you up hill? --never been there

There is Also another one recently new close to Castaway Bay the title Kalahair and it is located in Sandusky Also so they are all realtively close so why not visit CP when your there one day....


P.S. if you ride Top Thrill Dragster listen to what the workers tell you or it will not be a fun ride for you.... -- if you have your hands up when take off they will fly back and it hurts especially when taking off at 120 MPH.. i think thats how fast???

Thanks KrazyLuke for the links. Not sure if we will get there this summer or not. My in-laws have a cottage in Carrollton and we might just visit there and fish. Then head over to Cleveland for a few days. We have 2 weeks to visit family in both Cleveland and south central Pa.
