VMK Year In Review

Seeing the year is almost over i thought I would start a thread for everyone to share and remember the fun we have had on VMK this year.
Post pictures and/or stories remembering the great year that VMK gave us!
HAPPY NEW YEAR DIS AND VMK!!

Personally my highlight this year was being one of the first rooms to get a visit during dreams month and all my friends and I getting our EARS!

Well my VMK year started in June. So I had a lot of learning to do (and still do of course.) I can honestly say, had it not been for the dis, there is a good chance I may have lost interest in it. Because of the friends I have made on here, it makes me want to log in to check in. Due to the great trade boards, I feel like I have done pretty well so far in getting some cool stuff in my inventory. Due to advice and feedback on here, I have also been able to further understand some of the elements of the game a lot quicker etc.

So for me... top moments of the year...

- Making buddies, that is the coolest part of the game..and dis!
- Meeting the hosts and seeing all the amazing work and time they put into the game. Their devotion is truly appreciated.
- Being good at fireworks for credit, and then out of desperation due to the d/c situation that started in Oct, becoming good at Mansion. (2008 is all about pirates...haha)
-Dream month because that is where I met so many cool peeps.
-Halloween Town...so much fun.
-Holidays on VMK. These last few months have just been awesome. I also now have a room I am actually proud of. It is still a work in progress as more gingerbread stuff comes out..but here is a lookie look:

-and of course, having magic I could never imagine I would have!

The latter half of 2007 that I got to enjoy on vmk has been wonderful. I can't wait to see what 2008 will bring. It will also be fun no longer being a newbie. My 2007 stuff will be "rare." hahaha

hmm I think the high point and the low point for me was dreams month ROFL

I enjoyed being able to help many kids get their dream ears and it was a rewarding experience. Winning the suite on the last day was just... well... it was sweet!

I am still amused whenever I read on several sites about how great the beta days were. This game has changed drastically over the past year, and there were some negatives in those changes, but the improvements out weigh the negatives ten fold.

2008... VMK.... BRING IT!

This Year hmm it has made som major improvments of course there were some bugs and people who say vmk should just remove them should try doing that themselves then say that. But that's another topic this year has been great for me with my new account illusionistic which is probably the only account you guys know me as I have had 4 accounts from day 1 to now
- AceCoasterBoy - First account beta
- AceMegaSoccerStar - Second account still can't figure out what happened my guess deleted earlier in the year
- YetiScream - Brothers account I used for a few months after the loss of my account
- illusionistic - My best account so far not becuase of the stuff I have gotten or anything like that but the friends and memories I have made.

In these 4 accounts and in my time on vmk there have been some major imporvements in vmk as well as some negitive and for all those who say beta was so much better becuase there was no taken Uh yea there was just not that many players so it wasn't as common as today. This year has been excellent vmk has done so much and I think it will just keep getting better and expanding for many years to come.

My first year here, enjoyment year round..

First all the friends I've made I thank you all for friendships and being so patient with newbie....

Twinklepinktoes for showing me the hidden mickeys and introducing me to our friends when I was still in my first and second weeks; and Pink I remember you telling me when I asked how I could ever thank you - your answer was 'pass it on, help another' which I still love doing and ask them to do the same

TimR for teaching me pirates and lots of laughter ;

Gas and Red , you guys are great! - sooo glad I met you both and the circle of friends Great times with you all no matter what we're doing - thanks for teaching me too;

My "rainbow" group haha, great times during Dream/Nightmare Moon and getting our Dream Ears in the last 5 minutes of the last night.... and yeah Jungle you got me with the host was here while I was afk...

Bass-what can I say, glad I accepted- you certainly changed the music thing for me


Second, Thanks VMK staff and hosts for your time and energy put into the events, quests, rides, items - Keep up the great work!

Last but not least - Thanks Walt, it may have started with a mouse but you were the one we all should thank for your dream and inspiration
