VMK Rudeness Towards Guests

Since my ban I have been an under-cover Guest working around the kingdom. As I play around, go to staff events, perform quests, and try my best to try to get Disniplaya back, I have noticed that vmk players underappreciate guests. I noticed that all players assume I am a brand new player and completly ignore my voice. (Except Ladycop here on dis boards who was nice in hm and didn't know who i was). At the event I was told by another player "get out of here, this is not the place for new players like you". I was shocked and speechless. So when you see a guest please pay attention to them. Because it might as well be me .

I do try to be nice to guests, but I may tend to avoid them a little in pirates and haunted mansion, or at least try not to have a guest as the only player on the other team. In my experience, guests can tend to leave a game if they aren't winning, and don't always seem to know how to play or to read the instructions. So in that way I will admit I am a bit prejudice against guests. I will play with them, I just don't like the other team to be all guests. Everywhere else I don't mind the guessts at all. I used to be a guest, and I didn't start out knowing everything about VMK. I don't mind if a guest wants to play my quests, and I don't care if guests are playing a game with me, I just get nervous if only guests are on the other team.

I have found that guests are looked down upon.... Always booted from Pirates and ghosts....

I do make it a point to play with guests in both games, Never against them.

Once, I was a guest, started a game and 3 of the top FIVE battle players jumped onto the other side fast than you could blink an eye and proceed to taunt me and my team (another guest and someone else) while they slaughtered us.

It was so sad.....

I think VMK is an individual experiance for everyone. Due to a new mule I created for no reason what so ever, I had been playing as a guest just today and experienced no problems, nor did I go around anoying other players. I might have stomped a few players in pirates and mansion that thought just a guest but otherwise i received no more boots or uglyness then i here any other time playing myself.

I like guests. That is why i am Guestiscoolio, lol.
I'm nice to guests and some of them are really good at pirates from my experience. he was against me and was the only one left on his team and killed me and my partner. but sometimes ppl are scammers and they make a guest and go around asking for free bc they are poor. That is what i dont like.

well, guests annoying u for free stuff or taken etc, is uncalled for. everybody at one time was a GUEST and when i was a guest and i stumbled upon staff
they'd sit and talk for 15 minutes about the game to me, that made me feel super . just like cpnjack and the bay be thing, one person isnt gonna change it.

I agree, I have met a few guests who after playing one round with them in pirates or haunted could tell they were not really guests : they were just to good at the game to be new players. I am always welcome to guests and try to help them in the best way I can. Execept when it comes to quests I always forget the answers after I've done them.

It's not just guests that people are rude to, it's new players (like me) too. I've been really struggling controlling walking in HM and cannot get past that part on a quest. But I keep trying. I've got used to people leaving games when I enter - which is their choice so ok, but last night a player took it upon themselves to tell me that I 'sucked' at the game and how many I had caught (1!) and how many I had missed (lots) and as generally a bit unpleasant.

Now I'm an adult and can more than look after myself - but it really made my blood boil and child would have been really hurt.

I guess my point is, we're all new and inexperienced once and I always remember this little motto It's nice to be important - but more important to be nice

I have a funny yet sad story.

I made a new main account, and I was in the pirates lobby with about 2 or 3 more ppl.

One of the ppl told me, new byes are not allowed in here. I ignored, then they said anyone in the world would beat me. Then the others joined in. I said "fine", soon after I defended myself it turned into a 1 on 3 handicap match. I won! I totally owned them at the game and after the game they all left the lobby. LOL

I like to play on my brother's account, he is still a guest, I go into shops and ask questions most experienced players know. 60% of the people will tell me where to go to do quests, buy a camera, get to my room etc.

I'm not mean to Guests, but like when AvastPirateBen said, usually Guests ask for free stuff do taken etc. I was in a free stuff room (I had NOTHING rich on) and a guest asked me "Are you the Owner?" I'm sick of this ?, look at the room title! I know they are new to this, but if you can't read then you shouldn't be playing VMK.

i KNOW the feeling, trust me. i go on guest names All the time to get me a fireworks magic pin, and when i walked into a room, someone said "oh great, a guest is playing. this should be easy."

nobody appreciates guests on vmk. they think that they are all newbies who have no idea what VMK even is, and they dont care.


HOWEVER, i did see some light at the end of the tunnel. recently, i walked into a room, and i started asking questions to some ppl (just as a little test).

i started asking questions about what they were talking about, such as "what is an inferno?" and "what is the rarest thing in VMK?"

i had to have 5 ppl come up to me and start helping me out with the things i "didnt know about vmk." i was so excited to see all the people trying to help this guest out. if any of you are here on DIS, i want to thank you for being so kind to me, and you all get A+++++ on your niceness test

I had a funny time with a guest in the haunted mansion game, I think it aint good to judge ppl only because they are guest .. There are good ppl and bad ppl everywhere ...

No one replied, I even saw a fellow DIS member >_> who did not reply to my crys of help on the matter.
